1. Ive got a newer fulltone (the version before the mosfet) . The second switch can be used as a gain/fuzz boost when the boost dial is played around with. This can be used pretty well on guitar too. It can be used as a volume boost if used in comp-cut mode as mentioned above, and the volume boost is massive (but this is only in comp-cut mode).
2. Ive got one, and its not something ive ever noticed. That said, it is something I have read about more than a few times, being faint once the effect has been turned off. I remember reading about a mod which eliminated this but I dont seem to be able to track the link down right now.
3. Much love for the Moog Ring Modulator. That board looks phenomenal!

I am truly shocked and saddened at this news. Having only just seen it, I couldn't quite believe what I was reading. All I can really add to the already kind and heartwarming comments before me is that having had the pleasure of meeting Simon at the recent Cardiff bass bash, I met a true gentlemen. One who took so much time and trouble to ensure a good time was had by all and that everyone was welcomed without a scoff of snobbery. From having the pleasure of seeing Simon in action here on Basschat, I know this wasn't a one off, and that his time, knowledge, humour and decency was here for anyone and everyone in equal measure. To Rich, I can only imagine what an awful and difficult past few days this has been for you. You and CK both deserve all of our thanks and respect for the manner in which you have given the board such terrible news about Simon. Take care of yourself Rich. Most importantly, To Simons family and friends, Im truly sorry for your loss. Words must seem pretty shallow and empty compared to what you must be feeling right now. I hope you can take some comfort in knowing how truly appreciated Simon's unique and distinctive presence in this community has been over the years. He will be sorely missed by all in these parts. RIP Simon.
8. It needs to have a fight with my Sunn!
9. Boss DD6 is a real workhorse and not to be overlooked by anymeans.
10. I had a TS9 up until very recently with the 808 keeley mod installed and it was very much as you describe above, the high mids made it a little 'off' for bass and rolling a lower tone on the pedal sounded a little muddy. I found the fulltone bassdrive to sound pretty much the same but with much more low end response and flatter mids (with the sacrifice in guitar level highs). It sounded the absolute t*ts on guitar though and I regret selling it for that reason. Not sure if thats the contribution youre after, but my two pennies anyways. If you end up having a stab at this and making them then give me a yell. I would be interested
11. Bump. Any interest? Offers are welcome too.
12. There are fancier and cheaper delays out there, but the boss DD6 is great for a first delay. It sounds good, is small on a pedal board, is very tough and is easy enough to use. No need to be snobby about things all of the time.
13. Bonjour. Up for sale is an 'Arteffect' Keeley mod Ibanez TS-9. For those not in the know, the mod is intended to make the standard TS-9 pedal sound more like the original TS808. It sounds a lot more amp like than off the shelf pedal to my ears and grits up very nicely when pushing an amp or using it alone. Sounds ok on bass though this is essentially one of 'THE' guitar pedals, so probably more for anyone who dabbles or knows of a guitarist and not for everyone I would expect. Arteffect & 'Mod-Plus' Copius amounts of visuals; The casing is solid and the pedal functions as it should with no issues what so ever and comes from a loving and caring owner. Cosmetically its seen action but I think it makes it look loved.....aaaawwwww. The rubber 'pad' underneath isnt firmly stuck on anymore, but will only need a dab of glue to secure it. The LED is a very (VERY) bright blue also (picture included). No original box or manual included as it didnt have them when I bought it. For any pedal boffins out there, having searched around for TS-9 serial numbers, this looks to be one of the 2002+ reissues as opposed to an original. Im looking for £70.00 with postage included or local delivery in the Cardiff area. Happy with paypal, cheque (postage on clearance) or cash on delivery. Any interest or problems, drop me a PM. Merci.
14.
I should point out that some wag swapped my "For sale" and "Never for sale ever" signs between my Shuker P5 (never for sale!) and the P bass which is for sale
£350 seemed a little low Simon.....
15. I had an awesome afternoon and I have to say a massive thanks to OldGit and Drewie for the time and effort made. It was well worth it, rain or not. A lot of firsts for me; First Fretless ever (Bev's Marleaux) First 5 string (The Marleaux again) First Shuker (Simons monster P Bass custom) First Wal (Jasons stunning fretless) First encounter with Markbass/Genz Benz/Bergantino/Schroeder gear. They all sounded awesome. Personal highlight for me was the anti gravity Barefaced cab which Apex kindly allowed me to abuse with the Sunn before he packed up for home. It sounded fantastic with everything that went through it, and it was so light!!! Truly a revelation and I think I might have found my next cab. I cant think of one thing I played, saw or heard that I didnt like except my own playing and I would really like to do it again.
16. If you do get any of the aforementioned buses up penarth road you are looking for a red and yellow fronted garage on the opposite side of the road and the space is right behind that.

19. Im going to be parting with my Bassman 135 this coming week so would you be as kind as to remove it from the list on page 1? Im still bringing the 300t.
20. I have an older version of this and its not a bad amp for its size. Have a bump.
