Hi chaps, does anyone know what this is really worth? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Warwick-5-string-fre...A1%7C240%3A1318
I'd say the seller may break lucky in the present economic climate but that's about what it's worth on an average day! But Hey stranger things happen on eBay... it may end up going for stupid money if an idiot and a shill bidder get started.

Saying that he's also got a 62 P bass for $1300... and a 76 Thunderbird for $1300... and a 65 EB-3 (which looks remarkable like the T bird) for $1300... and a Yep you've guessed it a whole shed load of vintage and expensive instruments all available for a BIN of $1300 if you contact him at the supplied email addy. Scammers really can be complete f*ckwits! -
The seller plasters 'contact me first via email before bidding or I'll cancel your bid, as I'll sell it to you for $1300', now that's a big ebay no-no! However the actual Entwhistle Buzzard bass signed by Hans Peter Wilfer and presented to the seller by Chris Entwhistle... that's some bargain then. OK everybody sing 'Scam scam scam scam' to the tune of Python's Spam song. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/2003-ltd-edition-War...1QQcmdZViewItem <edit> Ooops I've just realised that the seller doesn't actually say this was Entwhistle's bass (difficult as he died in 2002 and this is a 2003 bass). So 'maybe' this is a bargain.
Right out of the Happy Gilmore school of comedy. Fantastic looking bass. Are you sure you want to sell it? Once it's gone it's difficult to get back.
Honestly I LOVE the look, feel and tone of these basses but after owning this ultimate Thumb bass if I'm not going to gig it then I may as well not own another Thumb bass... that statement will no doubt come back and bite me on the backside.
Must have been a really slippery keyboard to slip on both the Ebay price and the price in the listing.
Ah he's cleaned his slippery keyboard.
I've got some cash put aside to insulate the loft, I'm sure the family wouldn't mind me spending it on the Thumb. Then again if I didn't keep it in the same room as the Dolphin I doubt anyone would notice (apart from it getting cold).
Wow You use cash to insulate your loft... we've got these big rolls of fibre stuff; with that much cash you could easily buy my bass off me!

I seem to recall making a voluntary contribution some time ago... is that no longer available for those that wish to do so?

I came on here by mistake and I've yet to find the exit...

I've not noticed any major failings and from my (limited) viewpoint I don't see change for the sake of change being necessary! If it ain't broke...

Not surprised your back is shot... look at the bike! I wouldn't worry about the Schroeder's height it tends to be heard pretty clearly regardless of proximity (mid hump I believe but don't let that make you think that it lacks bottom end). The Zoots get good reviews and are very similar to the Tecamp cabs at a fraction of the price. I've not heard Alex or BFM's cabs but they seem to be well spec'd and receive glowing praise. I do have to say that if you are considering a single cab that weighs 19kg then why not 2 that weigh 19kg? You'd only ever be carrying one at a time! In which case you can then start to consider a lot of alternatives, inc the Aguilar GS/DB12's which would come in under your budget. Oh it starts getting really messy when you can't try them first, I should know I went through the same process due to a dicky shoulder.
