No disrespect intended big cat but the price may not be the only reason that your bass isn't attracting buyers. There is 'probably' a small target audience of BCers who could collect your bass if they were interested. If I were in the market for a P bass and I didn't live in N Ireland, I'd have to think twice before parting with funds to a foreign student in Belfast who is strapped for cash! Harsh I'm afraid but true. As an alternative to advertising on here, there must be a local music scene/circuit where you can advertise the bass, or possibly at Uni? There'll also be local rehearsal spaces where you can put an ad up for the bass. Of course if the price for your bass was tempting enough there'd probably be a few folk on here who might be prepared to take a punt and pay via PayPal. Good luck selling the bass and with your studies.

IIRC the original BO Streamers may well have had covers just saying 'Warwick Streamer Bass', the later models may well have gotten the full LX designation on them. I think that I have an old Bassist mag that reviewed the LX model that may show what the TR cover was. However, no matter what the badge (XR3i badge on the back of a 1.1 Escort does not make a XR3i ) it is a Streamer bass which the seller has (sadly) been misinformed about!

I gave that eBay guy advice re. what his bass is and it's value (bearing in mind the damage) but sometimes the truth hurts. At the end of the day a bass is worth what someone will pay, I have a couple of basses up for sale and I know what they are; to some people the relative values may be high but I know when something is worth £600 or £1600 regardless of whether it is my bass or not.

[/quote] Oops Warwick. I've just reread Warwick's response to the seller's query and yet again a classic from Warwick HQ! Warwick tell the guy his bass has a Wenge neck and fingerboard... fair does they may not be in full receipt of the facts from the seller but to claim it has to be Wenge when it is 'patently' maple is just another example of why it isn't always a good thing to believe the horse's mouth. Sigh! I just can't see them giving me that job any time soon if I continue to pick holes in my favourite manufacturers practices.

Well he has response from Warwick and as predicted by Nostradamus here, they are c*ck on with their info and have valued his 'damaged' (BO) Streamer bass @ £1000 - £1500 @ they wish! Subsequently his BO neck bass with the damaged control cavity has gone up in value from £600 to £900. Luke mate, @ £600 you've undervalued your 'undamaged' NT SSI. In fact going off Warwick's used price list we should all be expecting at least £1500 - £2000 for a used NT SSI. However, he has one flaw in his plan... he has said he'll get the info direct from Warwick! It is a BO LX I can assure you and the guy is playing very canny With a 'W' head on you can see that; were it to be a NT it would then be a SSII not SSI... however the neck/body joint is wrong for a NT SSI / II (if you've seen enough of them it just becomes second nature to spot). the headstock rear doesn't show any laminates commonly found on a SSI / II BUT they are correct for an LX. the silver hardware would be 'unusual for a SSI / II BUT correct for an LX. With an 'eBay' head on you can spot the telltale signs of 'fudging'; "it may well be a custom bass." - it 'may' but he's not saying it is. "I am not sure about this and would advise potential buyers to check with Warwick." - a convenient get out when you say "Hoy! this is an LX BO." he has very kindly/wisely (and correctly, I may add) given you a link to a similar bass retailing @ £1600... take more than 5 seconds to look and it is a BO LX bass he has taken you to. I will stress that he may be a genuine [s]numpty[/s] seller and have owned this bass for 7 years without realising that it ISN'T a Streamer Stage I / II (yeh right ) but we shall see as I've sent him an email (a very polite one not raggie or nasty) pointing out a couple of minor points. he does state he will revise his listing in light of more info so time will tell!

All of the above.... with one teency overlooked fact; that it is a bolt-on!

4 string set (x2 sets) in cardboard packaging. These are Warwick's coated strings (feel and look just like steels) which are comparable to the Elixir strings. Normally retail for £30 - £35 ish... yours for £22 (per set) delivered.
