Myself, Marcus and WoT recently got together and we did an A/B of a pair of GS112s and a pair of DB112s and I have to say that I don't think that any one of us considered that the GSs had more bass/bottom end than the DBs.

I can't debate his use of sarcasm as I've never met the man but as for JB being better for Cheap Trick than TP... I found that the material produced during the JB period was a bit lack lustre and I actually lost interest in all things CT during this time but when he rejoined I think they came back to some semblance of their former glory though for whatever reason they couldn't recapture that early magic! However each to his own and I'm sure you'll have justification for the JB is best accolade.

Is this the economy or what?[/quote] You've hit the nail on the head. Economy, dead slow or stop and people watching the pennies. Some stuff will always sell (stick an Aguilar DB112 cab up for sale atm and see how long it lasts ) and if the right buyer is looking for what you have then you'd likely as not get what you wanted (stick a Sadowsky METRO up for sale ) BUT middle of the road or exotic gear on eBay with 'no reserve' would be a desperate measure at present. All very good if you have the funds and are secure enough to be able to spend... Oh and the H&K went to a good home btw (not me).

Maybe it's stock that has been moved up from the London, Denmark St store hence it would be a bit pricier!

Just bought 4 lots of x3 packs Hartke strings off this guy and he combined the postage, sending the whole lot for the cost of one sale... Put another way £4 for a full set of strings INC POSTAGE! No brainer really and he has more for sale ending soon.

Your main problem/issue isn't so much which bits are original and/or replaced, it's hoping that not too many people on here know where your 'local' 2nd hand music shop is. You may find that when you go back, that mystery bass has been spirited away by friendly folks helping you out of your dilemma!

x2 DB12s (one with tweeter, one without) and I initially thought that I would need the tweeter on full all of the time. I've come to appreciate that the tweeter on 12:00 (50%) gives me plenty of top end clarity for that old school tone with a bit of bite (oh yes all technical terms with me ).
