  1. Totally recognise the picture you describe, we have been motivated to find a way to continue as we are retired, in our 70's with back issues but are determined to make it to our 50 years, with the same band & members (remaining 3) which is 2022. The other band I play with are as you describe!!!!...ha
  2. Silent stage, once you have experienced it its difficult to argue with the benefits ...individual mix control...clarity and separation..easier to singing in tune & balance BV's...hear the good, improving & mistakes...lower volume in ear therefore reduced damage...less tired after gig...and the audience will notice the tightness & ballance! Yes it takes commitment and time to get used to the new sound....often band members hide in the stage noise, so feel insecure without the volume, so all have to support. We did it in stages with a short term goal and review after each stage, it took 4 months 10 rehearsals 8 gigs
  3. Add RCF to your list...there are some on BC....whats the budget
  4. I had the same issue...once each of the band had an iPad for in ear ONLY (would not let them nr the FoH mix) they made no changes!!!!
  5. Totally understand...get all the band to chip in you will never regret the investment...BTW the router which we have run 6+ devices was £142
  6. Consider the RCF M20X, we migrated to this after using a M18 for a few years. High quality, features & functionality...intuitive...should cover all your needs plus 20 channel recording & playback for sound checks. We only use the router for individual in ear or monitor mix.
  7. Yes we have 4 for monitors...excellent build and sound
  8. To Mike and all the team...have a great bash...its so good to see some normality...and don't forget..."its not a rehearsal, so you can Never have to many basses & gear" ...ha...enjoy..B
  9. I lived in Clapham which is next to Twinwood, as a lad this was a brilliant place to play...bunkers, POW huts & control tower..which has been renovated,( I took my dad to seen it).....in the 70's I was an apprentice @ RAE Thurleigh which covered Twinwood where I think the ski jump was developed for the Harrier jump jet.....in the late 90'sr I played in one of the hangers for the Primrose trust....this is where Glenn Miller caught his last aircraft Dec 44 !
