I think we should all cheer up a bit. Times are already tough enough. Ok. The guy on the right looks like "half-Mel". Like the guy in the video below apparently looks like "half-Slash" (from 3:28). Enjoy π

The CLF L1K is also getting a new colour. Goes well with my fav tea π

Same here. I also like thin/flat necks. The one on my CLF Research L2K is really nice. You should check out the CLF line. I also prefer the look of the CLF headstock.

Yes, I saw that. Looks great but I don't have the money after a recent purchase π

Baby sues dead man and chums over genitalia failure
Eldon Tyrell replied to upside downer's topic in General Discussion
Nevermind's 30th anniversary is coming up next month. Lots of PR and media buzz to be expected. Could this have something to do with the guy deciding to sue the remaining band members, Courtney Love and the record labels (15 defendants in total, suing each for at least $150,000) now or could this just be a coincidence? Well, never mind π -
As far as I know, the L2K Tributes use the same US made MFD pickups but the hardware is sourced from Asia, made to US specs. My Tribute sounded like my US one but the neck was chunkier and the bass much much heavier. Still amazing value for money!

Maybe you should tell Fender to call their next line of P and J's that - Fender Proficient. Fits well with their Professional (I and II), Performer, Player and the new Player Plus π -
G&L Tribute SB-2 Bridge Pickup Too Noisey To Use
Eldon Tyrell replied to dpaulb's topic in Bass Guitars
Agree. Unfortunately, G&L really isn't great at shielding. I had to send back several basses (US and Indonesian made ones) because of really noisy electronics. Not cool. However, it can be fixed, but I thought for a new instrument, I should not have to do it. The lowendlobster had the same complaint about a G&L Tribute recently: https://youtu.be/7zhWm__hs_o He also had the same issue with a Charvel bass (which is a PJ bass like yours) and in this video he shows how to fix it. Hope it helps! -

Dig out your spandex and your nan's wig!
Eldon Tyrell replied to mrtcat's topic in General Discussion
Man, that video was like travelling back in time to the 80s. Spandex, makeup, leather, nan's wig? All fine with me. However, wearing a bandana (like they all seem to do)? No way, I am out π -
Errrrr Tim Commerford Stingray Short Scale ??!!
Eldon Tyrell replied to Adee's topic in Bass Guitars
Yes, the passive TC and the sansamp are a killer combo! -
Totally agree, BD has access to a huge customer base and selling via them also means that I don't have to deal with prospective customer inquiries (including silly lowball offers) and I also don't have to deal with shipping (including items getting lost or damaged or potential returns). So, I am happy to give up 20% for these benefits (which otherwise would be "costs" - time, money, energy, nerves etc.).
-
BD sold several of my basses (11 at the moment) and I never had any problems with getting my payment as I always immediately invested the money into new basses bought from them π
-
Well, what can I say. π₯΄ Maybe they should do a collab with Sarah Brand and shoot the video in a church. Sarah did it for "Red Dress" and GnR did it for "November Rain". They could call it then "November Dress" π

Oh dear. This sounds terrible indeed. I would be mega peed off too.
