  1. Good questions, I am calling the doc for you, he will know all the answers - @drTStingray πŸ˜‰
  2. I guess your autocorrect accidentally changed "weeks" to "years" here πŸ˜‰
  3. Congrats. Killer bass. I have the same in CAR. These MFD pickups have some serious... Enjoy πŸ™‚
  4. Why so rude? πŸ˜‰ https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yob_(slang)
  5. Well, their record sales numbers and their strong brand equity probably mean they don't really have to do much more.
  6. I think you are right. Looks like Fender's marketing people really love the letter "P": Professional I, Professional II, Performer, Player and now Player Plus. What next? Power, Progress, Proficiency, Prestige, Privilege, Popular, Phenomenon, Pure, Paradigm, Preference, Paramount, Pleasure, Premiere, Pinnacle, Premium, Prowess, Purity, or Peak? Ok, Fender, in case you'll go for one of these, don't forget my 20% commission πŸ˜‰
  7. Cheers. Guitarguitar has a pre-owned one in stock. Get it and we can be Batman & Robin πŸ˜‰
  8. Well, every time I think of MFD pickups, the following picture comes to my mind πŸ˜‰
  9. Yeah, been there, done that and got the t-shirt
  10. Well, I just did some digging and Fender actually already used the colour back in the early to mid 90s for their Strats. They called it "blue pearl dust". Haven't found a bass with that finish though.
  11. I don't have any bass gear funds left for this year, but I am still on the hunt and happy to plunder our savings for this one, just cannot find one anywhere 😞
  12. Don't worry. I am happy to help. I'll send you some photos whenever I come across a nice one πŸ˜‰
  13. This sounds familiar. Good luck with that πŸ˜‰
  14. Fortunately for me and our bank account, it has one string too many πŸ˜‰
  15. Cool stuff, first the Timmy C, now the Bongo BFR, maybe this one next? As we all know, all good things come in threes πŸ˜‰
  16. That's a great idea. I actually ordered a replacement knob for my CLF Research L2K. The original one got damaged in transit when I bought the bass here in the UK. Not sure how that could happen but it happened. Even worse, it also happened before when I bought a CLF L1K, also from a retailer here in the UK. Not sure what these shipping companies are doing to the boxes. Maybe they don't like G&L. Anyway, I would recommend buying the knob from the G&L store but have it sent to someone you know in the US. This person can then send it to you in a small envelope for just a few dollars. Don't ask G&L to send it to you here in the UK directly as their shipping costs range are crazy and range from $55 (USPS) to $179 (FedEx, two days). The knob itself only costs $15. 17. Agree, but admittedly "old school" (k)night does not sound nearly as good as "dark" (k)night πŸ˜‰
  18. In this video, you can hear both the Pro I and the new Pro II side by side. A bit more about the Pro II
  19. I used to have a Pro I with the CAR finish. Nice bass but did not like the pickup much. Ok, I could have swapped it, but I sold the bass without much of a loss and recently got a Pro II. I definitely like the Pro II pickup more than the one on the Pro I. It sounds darker too, which I like, as my bass is the dark (k)night after all 😎
