  1. Agree, that Sabre looks killer 🤩
  2. Same here. Stunning looking bass. GLWTS 👍
  3. I still doubt most people know who he was as his first name did not start with an A or B.
  4. Well, this forum is called BassCHAT and not BassPLAY for a reason 😉
  5. Next year is the Bongo's 20th anniversary. Let's see if EBMM release an anniversary model and/or use this opportunity to present a new version (like they did in 2018 for the Stingray, now Stingray Special).
  6. In all fairness, the bass shown is a "90s era Fernandez Nikki Sixx model/Spectorbird copy". I just posted it for the, well, let's say, "interesting design".
  7. In case you still need some design ideas, check out what Spector posted yesterday 😉
  8. Man, red and black, my fav colour combination. Very tempting. Ok, I better immediately take the blue pill 😉 GLWTS 👍
  9. Man, this bass looks stunning. What a lovely wood grain. Last year, I bought two basses from Dan and both transactions went super smoothly. Buy with confidence! GLWTS 👍
  10. Fender should have called it the "Fender Marmite" bass. People either love it or hate it. There's not much in between. I feel my role here is to be somewhere in the middle of that, kind of like lukewarm water 😉
  11. as I said, I am mad. Just ask my wife 😉
  12. I like the understated look of the body but the block inlays are a big no-no
  13. I wanted it to look like this
  14. BD really takes great photos. I am almost tempted myself even though that's my (now former) bass😎 Got it late Jan this year and only played it at home a bit. It is in showroom condition, absolutely flawless but not what I had envisioned (I talked about it in this thread as well, page 41) and yes, I know I am mad 😉 So, yes, please go for it @hiram.k.hackenbacker Won't get a brand new NS-2 for such a price ever again (esp. after Spector's recent price hike and the fact that the no-frills Fortes are no more either) 😉
  15. Agree, interesting concept but the look of some of the knobs and the block inlays are not my cup of tea. My fav: Least fav:
  16. Check out Spector's Woodstock Custom Collection: "Introducing the first ever Woodstock Custom Collection: a series of 11 one-of-a-kind Spector instruments. While each one of these instruments features the legendary NS design, the wood, electronics, aesthetics, and design choices have all been determined by individual members of the Spector team. Many of these instruments also feature all-new options for the Spector USA Custom Shop including matching headstocks, fingerboard binding, unique tonewoods, all new colors and stains, and more. This initial batch of unique instruments will be available through Chuck Levin’s Washington Music Center, Ish Guitars, and Fret Nation beginning on March 10, 2022. In the coming days we’ll be featuring each one of these instruments in detail. Can’t wait? 17. There is also a new model coming - Pulse 2. There is a review in the current issue of BP.
  18. I recently bought Andy's Classic Sabre bass. Transaction went ultra smoothly and Andy was even so kind to organise the delivery as well. Cool stuff 👍 Looking forward to buying another bass from Andy!
  19. Great looking bass. Congrats, Andy. However, did not know that you were a Wolves fan 😉
  20. Looks great. When I had my Pro II, I got myself a pickguard from Thomann. Brand is called d'Andrea. 20 quid and really good quality. Could not notice any difference between the original Fender one and the replacement one.
  21. We should not let labels bother us, it is just great music and let's celebrate it 😃
  22. Another groovy STP classic. It is pretty easy but soooo much fun to play 😃
  23. Maybe you should get both the 4HH (Egyptian Smoke) and this 6HH, that would give you then the 5HH you are looking for, well at least on average 😉
