B stock or not if it was advertised as Undamaged I’d get in touch with the seller and see what they have to say. if it was damaged in transit they should have insurance.

Is say hit the stores try a few out and get whatever you like best. I’m all for practising with a sound you prefer even if it will change at gig level. I run an Ampeg SVT IIP through a PJB bighead headphone amp with PJB headphones, overkill? Yes do I love the sound? Hell yes! Makes me want to practice more when I hear that raspy growl Don’t forget your headphones and bass when you go shopping -

In my mind the Le 77’s, 79’s and things like anniversary models should have had hazlabs in them not tone pumps. maybe they were afraid of encroaching on the USA mysticism…

Try a car wrapper for a price, if you don’t like it you can peel it off if your feeling adventurous you could buy the wrap and have a bash yourself

My next Spector will be a USA NS2 preferably a Brooklyn era then I’m done. There are to many models now I agree, they’re also offering so many different pickup/preamp options for me they are becoming watered down.
