  1. Probably purchased a job lot at auction and looked at the Japanese sellers thinking he has a small fortune 🤣😂
  2. I had one years ago can’t even remember the brand, odd shaped thing a bit like an explorer. loved it but didn’t get that much use for it apart from a cover of Jeremy by Pearl Jam. Although Jeff ament used a 12 string the 8 gave a damn good impression. A 12 string bass gives this song it’s meat and potatoes as well as performing the opening bars
  3. Ahh the old highland park method, tried and tested for many tasks and usually a winner unless your chainsawing…
  4. Last bump then withdrawing
  5. Amps -USA Cabs -USA Basses -USA/Czech Republic Pedals -USA fingers -UK
  6. You mean it’s starting to form it’s mojo?
  7. Tooth paste and or baking soda for micro scratches. Deeper scratches, jewellers rouge works wonders. if it’s deep enough to catch your finger or thumb nail when you flick it over the scratch you need to start with abrasive paper and work down to the rouge

  9. When I was poorer and basses came so cheap or exchanged easily for something shiny, I kept my strings alive by boiling them in my old mother’s saucepan when she wasn’t around. Basses came and went so fast (Kay’s/squiers/Antoria’s) buying new strings didn’t enter the equation.
  10. You think you have problems with your sax, the other day I turned up to a blues session but the whole band were playing a quarter tone out of tune and the drummer couldn’t keep a rhythm, I think I was the only working musician in the room…
  11. Not at this moment, I don’t have the packing to insure it’s safety.
  12. I suggested the sun-beams as they’re nickel like the boomers but I do prefer the stainless Fat-Beams
  13. Try the Sun-Beams if you haven’t already they are a tad more expensive but I get a good run out of them, I’ve tried boomers but found as many others report they do die fast
  14. Sold a Spector to Andy, all good in the communication and most importantly the payment side. Got together and we talked about all kinds of things. No doubt we’ll cross paths again. I lied, we just talked about Bass guitars and Amps…
  15. No worries glad it’s getting played again. I play DR Fat- beams and sunbeams 45-105’s they super supple The Dean Markleys we’re a trial and I agree felt quite stiff but sounded great on a Spector
  16. Hope the strings are still fresh enough, they haven’t been played much at all but have been on a bit
