There was a further €15 for shipping that didn't appear in the itemised bill making the pickup considerably more expensive than the actual bass it was going in to! That's against my principles so I've now cancelled the order.

I thought it could do with a re-design, personally.

I tried one of these out at the weekend. I was really disappointed in it. It was far too distorted for bass (it wasn't mild distortion it was a LOT of distortion). I don't get it - because bassists rarely distort their sound much even in metal or Punk bands. Much more suited to guitar I would have thought

He thought Thomann might sell them but on further investigation they don't. He orders his in big batches under some business agreement and they take 3 - 4 months to come through. He does not act as a distributer.
