This is always going to be challenging as it is easy for a ham-fisted person to keep tightening a truss rod and strip the thread, then how do you prove it's a manufacturing fault not user error? As you are clearly not a clueless beginner and tehre's a known fault with these guitars, I have a theory: the truss rods haven't been threaded for a long enough distance so you simply run out of adjustment. In running past the end of the thread, the nut strips. It's likely the upper parts of the thread are still fine. If you still had the neck, I would recommend seeing if you could still wind the nut right off, get a new nut and use it with a spacer 6-10mm long on the still intact end of the thread.

I saw Rory playing it. You really would not have wanted to borrow his towel afterwards. He was phenomenal, even his mandolin playing was absolutely incredible.

My impression, looking at people's tabs on places like Ultimate Guitar, is that surprisingly few people experience that lightbulb going on. 80% of tabs seem to include huge random stretches that could be avoided by using a scales based approach.

Saw this first hand today. Confusing as some things are priced and some aren't. Shame as staff are helpful, and it's obviously not their call.

Giving my daughter a lift today. We agreed Gorillaz holograms were good but Dio/Tupac hologram tours make us both a bit queasy. While on 'faking it' I sought her view of relickinginging. She agreed it was often well OTT and that ripped jeans fall into the same category. But she syas she likes ripped jeans because they have more character. As for us lot... she says it''s pathetic to get worked up over someone else's choice when it does you no harm at all. So that's put us all in our place!

I tried out an Epiphone Les Paul SL today - a bit disappointing, sounded good (vicious tone control cut volume by about 4/5ths!) but felt crude. Surprising sound for such tiny pickups - they look like the one on my Rocket mandolin! I reckon you could set it up nicely though. For £89(!) you get a much better guitar than what went for an equivalent price or more in the 70s.

I think Basslab instruments prove the point. They won't admit it but their USP is as much about the look as anything else, they could be just as (more) ergonomic and look far more conventional.

It's worth reading what Neil Young says about playing with Crazy Horse. There are deeper, more primal forces at play - the ones that bonded our deep ancestors together through music. Is it a coincidence that the most powerful parts of a good gig are when the audience sing, stomp, headbang, clap or dance to the music, no matter how well they are 'in the pocket'?

Some might say what's the point paying £££ for a '63 bass if it looks like a 2019 bass? Relicing is all about image both to others and the owner, but surely we ALL worry about what out basses look like.
