  1. Mine too. But he's got major house work to keep him occupied, do maybe he'll slow down? 🤔
  2. Maybe for 2026 we should have a parallel "Gear Acquisition Challange"? T1, basses T2, pedals amps etc T3, any other instruments Points for quantity, not necessarily quality or cost.
  3. No averaging! Likewise no integrating, differentiating, fitting polynomials to the curve of the number of basses bought in a given period or training AI networks to calculate the maximum entropy of the data set of the basses for sale in the marketplace.
  4. Apologies if this has been posted before:
  5. I am massively looking forward to Tap 2. I haven't seen the first one in over 40 years, and for some strange reason the price of the DVD has really gone up.
  6. The bridge is part of the vibrating structures of the instrument, tansmitting and receiving vibrations and resonances between the strings and the body which contribute to the overall sound which will be detected by the pickup. So it is in the path betwen the player's fingers and the listeners' ears and replacing a non-failing bridge on a bass ought to be a T1 fail. On a guitar it's T2 as is the whole instrument. Well that's my view anyway.
  7. And there was me thinking from your posts you were in your mid-thirties! Great playing and pics.
  8. I hope your nephew appreciates he has a one-of-a-kind bass.
  9. Shared on. Some nice stuff on there!
  10. Definitely Following! Where' that "munching popcorn" emoji gone?
  11. I agree with @Hellzero - it definitely looks better with the extra pickup. And sounds good too - well done that man!
  12. Where do you advertise these for sale? I'd like to point a couple of friends to your site as the designs would suit their band.
  13. This already looks better with the additional pickup.
  14. Looks good. Do you put clear plastic or clingfilm over the light each time to stop it getting covered in paint?
  15. If I understand correctly, the routed shape of the pickguard lifts away from the body as a separate piece. But it appears to match exactly to the surrounding wood of the bass body, implying it was cut from that wood. Assuming the cut didn't go all the way through the body, then the only way I could do this would be to assemble the top, cut the cover, glue the top to the rest of the body, route the cavity and when all is done put the cover on. Is that how it's done?
  16. Great news, and a great bass. You can change the thread title to *FOUND!* 😁
  17. OK, I give up. How did you do that pickguard??
  18. Buying others a gift is definitely allowed. Happy Birthday @Mrbigstuff's relative.
  19. Trying to find that Catch-o-matic I came across this post on a Guild forum refering to a crash-o-maric. I couldn't work out what the guy was talking about or asking, until the reply came with the pictures. https://letstalkguild.com/ltg/index.php?threads/the-infamous-crash-o-matic-stand.150985/
  20. An little bit extra to shield as well.
  21. I would say out on T2, but I think not on T1. The pedals are in the signal chain, but not the board or the PSU.
  22. That's horrible! As if someone thought : "How can I make something that's a bit like a child's drawing of her father's Ovation Magnum I?"
