1. I hardly play rock but I had a pretty impressive 'fro that I got rid of last year. Its on its way back.
2. I have the coated set on my MM Stingray and the tone is very good. I have only had them on for 3 weeks so time will tell if they'll last the course. But so far so good.
3. By far my favourite Marvin Gaye song and I think its a good song to cover because its open and spacious but also important not to overkill. Sharay did it justice.
4. Beautiful bass. Sad to hear what happened and kudos to you for believing you can find it again. I hope you do.

6. You're a real musician when you cant stand classics being used on commercials!
7. +1 for Off The Wall from me. I think its the best music he made.
8. I like to think that Motown was pretty strict in their productions. The Motown Machine was well oiled with session players so Jermaine had no need to be on the bass in studio sessions. Not sure if that changed when he went solo. On 'Lets Get Serious' it could have been him on bass or Nathan Watts, I am not sure. But I have seen videos of him playing and singing that song live.
9. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VzI9zo7SwTM Great cover of the Prince Lincoln And The Royal Rasses classic.
10. Not sure if this has been posted but its a great show for all Maze lovers. Enjoy! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wU0d4FtYRjs&feature=related
11. Interesting points. Just to clarify, I dont have 5k to spare. I have just noted some basses on here and ebay for that amount and was wondering what you would do if you had the money. I would probably buy one and use the remaining cash elsewhere.
12. Not sure if this topic has been covered but I would like to know what you would do in this instance: Say you have £5k to spare, would you buy a boutique/custom bass for that figure or buy 2/3 guitars from that money?
13. I didnt want to take chances so I bought a Hercules stand. Figured the stand might be cheaper than getting the bass repaired, worst case scenario.
14. Raphael Saadiq and D'Angelo.........
15. There's an existing thread about this: http://basschat.co.uk/topic/171141-new-incognito-album/ You might find the answer as to who was on the bass chair.
16. I once forgot the amp head but packed the bass, cables, cab and stand.

19. Hey Bubinga, that string arrangement on MJ's 'Heartbreak Hotel' has also been used on Damian Marley's 'There For You' albeit in a different rhythm and genre.
20. To be fair. if you played an electric bass for an acoustic set, it would lose that 'acoustic essence'. I recently watched Rumer doing an acoustic set and her bass player had an upright and an acoustic bass for the set. In terms of the feel he absolutely nailed it (there was a piano and acoustic guitar accompanying) My 2 cents, try and borrow one off here and see how that works.
21. Hi mate, forum rules say you must provide pictures or your intent to do so.
