    Im interested in doing this exact thing, ill definitely keep tabs on this. One thing to keep in mind is the fretboard radius of whatever neck you get. Unless the pole pieces are height adjustable, in which case ignore me

    Yeaaaah these aren't for me. I know I'm not the only one but thats too many knobs for me, plus the jazz bass knockoff shape looks off, feels like they've made concessions to the shape to accomodate them extra frets. Also the balance looks like it'll be crap

    Looks like it needs a pickguard to distract you from its oversized waist. It also reminds me of an ear. Weirdly. Not for me.

    I've always loved the old SDGR curved pickups. I'd take a punt but I need a longer scale for a 5 string, GLWTS though that's a great price, looks lovely.

    For a sub 200quid bass this thing ain't too bad. Waiting on EMGs to ship, but for now the stock pickups are surprisingly nice!
