Ah okay thanks, is there any difference between the Davie504 model and the standard other than finish? I'm in the Midlands so I'll have to sort a day trip out 😁

Sounds great, I'd love to try one out, will have to scour the local shops, or do you have a UK base where people can try things out? Slim jazz neck sounds fab, always prefer those necks.

Morning peeps, I've had my eye on a Chowny Retrovibe Evo for a while now (the standard one or the Davie504 model), has anyone ever had/played one? General thoughts on it? I'm looking for that Stingray-esque kinda sound and the Evo seems like a good choice over an OLP or a SUB ray4.

I don't know if anyone's already mentioned these but I've listened to Papanegro a fair bit over the years and loved their funky basslines They do sing some songs in English too. I.AM.GOD in particular is a snazzy little number.

Hi all, Thought this might be an interesting discussion, does anyone else name their instruments? Guy Pratt's "Betsy" comes to mind. I've always named mine ever since I got a Strat when I was 16 and my subsequent basses, and they tend to be somewhat based around the colour of the instrument. I'll list everything I have owned and named over the years. 1989 Fender Strat, Red - Scarlett Tanglewood Acoustic - Calliope Black Yamaha classical guitar - Jet Mustard Yellow Yamaha RBX - Shielah Schecter Riot 5 session - Kiara Warwick Corvette, Black - Dana Dingwall NG2 Combustion, Red - Rosalie Fleabass, Blue - Katara Marcus Miller Sire V7, White - Cirilla I think that's all of them. Anyone else weird like me? Nobody? 😏

Same kinda thing The new Reverend Raymond Bass looks pretty sweet, other than that I'm interested in the EHX bass mono synth. Was really hoping Sire were working on a MM stingray kinda vibe. Ah well.

*Waves* I'm Chris from Stoke-On-Trent and I'm 26, been playing guitar since I was 15 but predominantly bass for roughly 8 years on and off. Started with a beaten up old Yamaha RBX374. I used to be in a prog metal band Construct where I used a Schecter Riot 5, a Warwick Corvette and a Dingwall Combustion to shove some slap bass into the prog metal genre. Recorded 1 album and gigged a lot. Sold them all now so I have a Marcus Miller Sire V7 and a Fleabass, I mainly play funk, pop, rock etc. Looking to start recording covers, streaming that sort of thing. Damn I miss that Dingwall. Anyway I'm fed up with talking bass with my friends who don't really care 😂 so I'd thought I'd try a forum Peace, Chris P.S. Does anyone else name their instruments?
