  1. These are great little heads. I think the other difference between the V1 and V2 is there's a (very useful) AUX input on the front of the V2. GLWTS - it's a great price.
  2. What a bargain for someone (not me, sadly - I'm all amped up (according to my partner!). GLWTS, Nik.
  3. Wow! GLWTS - it's a lovely thing.
  4. Similarly with recorders. I once went to an orchestral gig to watch my partner playing her sax and the whole thing was spoiled by the support - a recorder ensemble. Aaargh (though they did have a bass recorder which touched the floor!) Too many memories of watching the children perform at school concerts.
  5. Can someone with more tech knowhow/experience than me please start a proper list? I'll be bringing my Shuker JJ Burnel Signature Lite P-bass (AKA the "Nuclear Device"), a Hofner HCT Contermporary 500/1, an NS WAV 4 headless, a first-batch Sterling by Music Man one-knob Joe Dart and a 1970s hollowbody thought to be a Columbus, but it may be an Epiphone! Amplification TBC, but may include my ex-The Script Ashdown ABM Evo II 600 and a Warwick Gnome i Pro v2 and a handbuilt cab bought from The Fasting Showman and imho better than the Barefaced One10 that I had before.
  6. Your rig is definitely the dogs' ! If only I could afford it (or, sadly, justify it). GLWTS.
  7. Well, well, welcome to BC, Jonny! Loving your work! Nice bass too. 🙂
  8. Nice tone and playing too. GLWTS. If it happens!
  9. Bargain for somone. GLWTS!
  10. I bought a couple of Carol Kaye teaching books and CD from Nick - they arrived very well packed and very promptly too - it was a pleasure doing business with him and now I can prove how bad I am at reading standard notation all over again. Thanks, Nick!
  11. I so wish I was in funds at the moment. These are amazing basses, a great deal better imho than contemporaneous Fenders. You don’t need it, but good luck with the sale, Nik.
  12. That is gorgeous! I think "red colour" is a bit of an understatement! GLWTS.
  13. I was in Nottingham city centre the night before last and it seemed that every third car - mostly small hatchbacks - had an over-excited exhaust. Pretty daft, as they were reduced to about 5mph over the speed bumps by the tram track!
  14. Don't they have a lifetime guarantee? Or is that just for wear and tear?
  15. I apologise if I appeared to be passive-aggressive, but we did appear to be straying off-topic. I'll make myself clearer next time.
  16. Are you all saying these are irrational prejudices? If not, ahem…
  17. What a bargain! GLWTS.
  18. Quite apart from the amazing sound capabilities, these are just beautiful objects - craftsmanship and care always win in the end. I too am wishing I'd seen it earlier (and could afford it!). Hope your sale goes well... sort of!
  19. Or, worse, members of staff wanting to talk to me in a guitar store, etc., etc.
  20. Oh, are you sure? That would be a real surprise (to me, anyway). I’ve always hankered after one of his basses.
