Hi everyone. This is Revision 1.1 Pre Amp + Pots and switches - Still available for £40 ( Pickups now sold - hence £150 Originally) I got a G&L USA L2000 (2002 ) recently and have had it refreshed with a new preamp and pickups by local excellent bass and guitar technician Steve Barratt at guitarlodge.co.uk in Felixstowe. He’s prepared the old preamp for me to resell, replaced one faulty switch and bought a new jack socket and made all connections good. Then Tested by himself. Steve labelled the parts ( Blend is the neck/both/bridge switch ). The board is Rev 1.1 as you’ll see in the photos along with Paul Gagon’s ( Ex G&L electronics top guy) low down on the Revisions 1997 and 2011 ? but see what I extracted from Basstalk site. Very minor revisions ,he writes, and the latest (2011) Rev 1.3 has some filter to cut out possible radio interference which some players’s set ups or location can occasionally pick up. Must be rare that, because the Rev was only introduced after donkeys years from first edition preamp. £40 includes UK delivery. No knobs ( on my bass ) but Armstrong sell beauties to fit ( see photo ) aluminium, super shiny chrome finish and knurled nicely rather than pointy-style like some. Thanks for looking. Quent

Hi, I replaced the black tuners on my Spector Pulse II with a Gold Gotoh GB707 set. The Gold are a drop in replacement. See dimensions diagram which happens to be for Wilkinson Open gear tuners but I checked dims with my Digital Calipers so the diagram is accurate. Spector Logos are painted/printed , not a sticker. £45 includes UK postage and these were only my bass for a few days. Weigh 240g, see photo. Also selling exactly same dimension set from an older Spector NT4 but they are in excellent condition too ( £40 ). Cheers. Quent

Hi everyone. My Stingray is in perfect condition having first been owned 2012-16 by a collector in Scotland who didn’t play. I bought it from Tom Mulraney of Hoffnine Custom Cabinets in Aidrie in April 2016. It’s had home play only with me since then and my own collection means it hasn’t been played much by me so there is no visible wear of the frets and the the body is swirl and damage free. Strung with a set of Elixir nanoweb coated nickel plated strings with plenty of life in them still. The original pick guard had minimal swirls so I’ve bought an identical 3 ply BWB guard. The original case is Mint too so opening this up you’ll see what the original purchaser saw back in 2012. The bass is currently at The Gallery , Camden, London and has been Bass of the Week there from 18th Dec until 8th Jan. I can call it back from there any time I need to and post on to you UK insured (£2000) delivery or within Europe if you pay the extra postage. (The Gallery won’t entertain anyone trying it there then buying from me.) Weight 4.2kg , 9lbs 4oz Swamp Ash Body 34 inch Scale, 41.3mm nut, Neck Radius 11 inch. Matching Headstock Neck finish Gunstock Oil and Hand-rubbed wax blend Super clean of course and I gave the dark rosewood fretboard an oil clean and fret polish recently. I took the photos in a low sun so a few reflections that look like grubby marks and a little dust looks like slight swirling but there are in fact none. Others phots at thebassgallery.com. White guard is included and the truss rod bar tool and saddles allen key. Hi everyone. I bought this great passive bass ( Vol Vol Tone ) new from GuitarGuitar in Feb 2017. Serial Number 160304485 - see headstock edge photo. Only occasional playing at home so no noticeable wear apart from very slight signs on some frets under the E string frets 3 to 7 ish. Only noticed this when packing and polishing the frets, oiling the board. It still has the Lakland ST/ST 45 65 85 105 round wound strings on and they’re still lively and seem to suit these powerful pickups. I don’t use st/st on my other basses but I’d stick with them on this bass. Superb P pickup and a great tone control for lots of very useable tones. I had the 3 pots upgraded to the more durable CTS pots on the advice of Steve Barratt at guitarlodge.co.uk nearby in Felixstowe. CTS are 1/4 inch shafts so Steve drilled out and shimmed the original knobs, just this year so this bass is ready to rock. It’s a dense Ash body so 10lb 5oz / 4.6kg but nicely balanced and you get the advantage of super clear tones and sustain. These earlier years of the 44-64 have the lovely white neck binding and full white pearl blocks on a super dark rosewood board in this case. The more recent years version don’t have the binding , just a dark abalone corner to each block. The pickups and hardware are the same as on Lakland’s USA models. They’re shipped back to Chicago for checking and Pleking of the fretboard ( computer aided machine levelling process using sensors to eliminate even the slightest high spots of the frets ). See photo of Plek Tag 25 May 2016. I’ve packed it up already in inner cardboard coffin type box, then packed well in usual large outer box. Please see my feedback - when 8 say MINT I mean No blemishes or swirls or tiny marks or dinks etc. Thought I was going to send it off for commission sale but decided not to, hence packed already and hence less than tip top photos but I think they show what you need. There are some pics in a low sun from last week and the bright ones were taken by GGuitar in Birmingham for me to verify it was a pukker example I was buying ( I sent two back.) Make me a sensible offer and it’s yours. You will not be disappointed! ( UK delivery only , on me.) Only selling as I’ve enjoyed it for nearly 7 years and have recently splashed out on other basses which need funding. Specs then photos.
