  2. Hoe - Tone? Erm... sounds wrong!
  3. Congratulations to you & Mrs Dingo! Erm... Dock of the Bay - Otis Redding, or Riders on the Storm - The Doors, or maybe compose your own lullabye-type piece? Good luck!
  4. Fabulous description! And also good for metal, presumably?
  5. Just a few pics from the night - was really excellent! Thanks Jack & Raymondo
  6. Don't worry about it - know your material, concentrate on your part and don't get bladdered beforehand! You'll be fine!
  7. Not sure if this is any good - I'm at work, so no bass to check It's from Ultimate Guitar.com: Peaceful Easy Feeling Bass (ver 2) by Eaglestabs @ Ultimate Guitar Archive.pdf
  8. Glad you're getting back into music - hopefully it will bring you some joy Definitely check out the open mic before you play - you might find that people are playing stuff that matches your taste and ability. It could be the beginnings of something good All the best with it - let us know what you decide to play, and how it goes when you do perform
  9. Tabs submitted to online tab sites are a bit iffy sometimes, but at open mic night, we occasionally get asked to learn songs for the following week. I tend to use a combination of the following, until I find the tab I think is closest to the original: https://www.ultimate-guitar.com (there is also an Android app to go with this - probably an iPhone app too); https://www.bigbasstabs.com https://www.songsterr.com This site is subscription site, but you can see the tab on screen without joining up. The main thing to be aware of is that the tabs are submitted by players of varying ability and are not always accurate. Don't forget, there's also BassChat's very own Groove Library subforum: https://www.basschat.co.uk/forum/41-groove-library/ Good luck! EDIT: also as Cuzzie says Nowt like listening and working out!
  10. Good luck Mr Yin. I hope everything works out as you would want
  11. Squier 70 VM Jazz - use it every week for open mic night. Not changed anything but the strings to Rotosound Nexus coated strings. Realiable as, good tone, easy to play. What's not to like?
