  1. As bigguy says, I had this on my US jazz, I thought it was the strings, but it wasn’t, I lowered the pickup slightly and it disappeared
  2. So do I, but another 12 seems to have followed them into my house 😁
  3. You won’t go wrong with that, they are superb, my 2014 one is probably my favourite jazz
  4. You might like a bit of Babe Roots Bunion , they can be pretty heavy and a bit ambient
  5. I think the original was by Alton Ellis, trinity did this one around 1977 and marcia aitken did this
  6. In the mix
  7. I remember seeing it on TOTP , the original was by the Mighty Diamonds
  8. If you had the paperwork to say they are already yours, couldn’t you fly over one day , when it’s a cheap flight ,and collect them 🙂
  9. Great story t-h, love it 👍, I believe @jazzyvee is musical youths bass player now
  10. That’s really cool 👍
  11. I think we’ve had the curly locks riddim before, but this is a nice Bassline on this Lee Perry track
  12. If you PM him a message will go to his email, good luck 👍
  13. Thanks cuzzie 👍. I’ve got labella double ball end flats on it now, it’s sounding great
  14. Welcome Norman 👍
  15. Thanks, I fine tuned it yesterday and locked it in place
  16. Thanks I’ll give that a try, the active switch really boosts the bass, I had to roll it back a bit today, which is really unusual for me 😁
  17. Initially I was looking at a steinberger XL2 ,but I didn’t really want to buy one in case I didn’t get on with it , so I thought I’d try the hohner first , I’m so used to my jazzes this is a nice change , they are pretty cool
  18. Miami vice style, i like it 😁
  19. I was playing mostly sitting today, thanks I’ll try that 👍
  20. Ah yeah, I’ve found that too, I’ve landed on the wrong fret a few times, I’ve been playing it quite a bit today and I think I’m getting used to it 🙂
  21. I haven’t tried that yet 😁, but I’m sure you could, they are really well built little basses aren’t they
  22. I bet the tunes sound superb through your system, especially the dubsters, I play mine through my bass rig , markbass 15s with an interface, then I can play along, I haven’t got as much vinyl as I used to have so I too have to rely on YouTube, but some of the songs aren’t on YouTube, I was thinking of starting a channel but I don’t really have the time . btw, I like the Pluto track, haven’t heard that in a long time 🙂
  23. They look really good 👍
  24. It would be worth getting it authenticated by a reputable person/shop , they can check the neck stamp, pot dates and wiring, pickups, bridge, etc, and take lots of pictures for you and provide you with the paperwork, which would help you value and sell it, or if your going to keep it it’s nice to know what you’ve got . I nearly bought a 66 jazz a few weeks ago and the guy sent me about 50 pics which was fantastic
