  1. Most of the early 70s Precisions I’ve seen in natural finish have had maple fingerboards and I think they came with white pickguards , not to say there isn’t any with rosewood and black pickguard as I’m sure you could order what you wanted
  2. I had this thread saved that Zilch started, it might be worth a look though some of the shops from time to time @Wombat
  3. I wouldn’t be happy with that, unless it was something I was really wanting I’d be asking for a refund hope they sort it out sooner for you
  4. I was chatting with the bass zone and I mentioned that David Isaacs song, Hard Road to travel is one of my favourite songs and Basslines to play, and this afternoon he put this up, he’s such a good player and this is great
  5. Flabba dropping a heavy Bassline there, so good
  6. Thanks, that looks better for me for what I play
  7. Thanks Pow I saw that but just assumed they all had a fan, cheers, apart from that is there any difference
  8. Been eyeing the svt ll pro for quite a while now but only recently discovered that they have a fan 😞, I didn’t even notice one, are they switchable to on or off or just on all the time
  9. That’s quite a setup d basser, really nice
  10. I remember first hearing that a long long time back , has to be one of the all time great lovers tunes , nice one t-h 👌
  11. Quick ampeg question, I was looking the Ampeg SVT 2 Pro but I don’t like the front panel where the slots are for the bolts at the ends , do they do anything to cover these or a housing that looks good
  12. Their shop isn’t far from me either
  13. Even the case is in great condition, yeah C width 44mm
  14. Pretty pricey but a really nice 66 P listed yesterday, haven’t seen many in this condition https://reverb.com/uk/item/66852950-1966-fender-precision-bass-vintage-original
  15. I’ve never seen them in 5 , think I paid £10 or less for mine at the time
  16. The adagio flats are really good strings for the price, I’ve had a set on one of my jazzes for about 7 or 8 years, they are not bright flats and they are still sounding good
  17. Really sorry to hear of your health , lovely basses, wishing you good luck 🙂
  18. Cruising through Walthamstow listening to this
  19. If I only had the one precision I would have changed them back to the labella’s , but because I’ve got a few it’s nice to have different sounding ones, I’m definitely leaving them on , the more I play it the more I like them
  20. Back on track and I’m fitting a set on to one of my jazzes later, I shall report back, do they mellow with time like other flats
  21. Came across this instrumental today, nice tune
