1. Hi Folks So, how about these dates and this venue: Sunday 03 August or Sunday 31 August Times: 11am-4pm Venue: Climping Village Hall, Climping, Littlehampton, West Sussex BN17 5SN If we can work out which of those two dates is best for the majority of you, then I can get the venue booked quite quickly. The venue is on the A259 just outside of Littlehampton, heading towards Bognor Regis. It's a bit of an old school style building but most importantly, it's: (i) accessible, (ii) has plenty of parking (iii) has a kitchen so we can make teas, coffees etc, and (iv) is not in a residential area, so we can make plenty of noise there!! Please let me know your thoughts ASAP/ Thanks Nik
2. Excellent!
3. Cool! And yes, the venue is accessible...
4.
I'll get it in the diary. I'll be down there for my Dad's birthday. He'll be 94 on 4th Nov!!
That a grand age! Be good to see you again...
5. Perfect description... Thanks seashell.. So; who's up for this event then?
6.
Depending on the date and commitments I could be temped down to the seaside Nik.
Great...
7. Hi Folks As the South East Bash isn't happening now until 1st November, I figured it was high time we did another mini-Bash for any East Sussex/Brighton/West Sussex/Hampshire based Basschatters.. Last one was 3 years ago, so it's long overdue! So... here's what we've got: Sunday 31 August Times: 11am-5pm Cost: £10 on the door Venue: Climping Village Hall, Climping, Littlehampton, West Sussex BN17 5SN By the way, sometimes on maps, 'Climping' is spelt 'Clymping' just to make it more confusing... Please add your name to the list below and add what gear you're going to bring with you, as that always helps to whet the appetite and get the GAS going! Not sure what the cost will be yet - that will depend on numbers, but should be around £10 for the day tops... Hope that's OK? Regards Nik
8.
Having missed the last two bashes due to gigging commitments I was wondering whether there will be an event this year.
As Jack and Sylvie have alluded to already, we do plan to hold a South East Bash this year.. we hadn't planed to announce it yet as we're still getting somethings together.. However, the date in the diary is: 1st November Same times and same venue in Addlestone, Surrey... More details to follow.. We did try to get an earlier date, but for a variety of reasons, we've had to go for this date. Look forward to seeing you there folks!
9.
Thanks Nick. I know you enjoyed your one, this really is a hell of a wrench and if there were any alternative I'd take it.
I did; I really enjoyed the 3 RBVs I had but the one I really miss is the shoreline gold one I had, just like yours..
10. Should be on display in the V&A, not on sale here for mere pennies..
11. That's serious protection... Wonder what happened to the guy who hunted down the armadillos?? On a more serious note, I can't believe that that is cab is still available, especially at this price! Gotta be one of the best buys on the Forum at the moment... GLWTS
12. Just bought a Boss FT2 pedal from Gwilym, who's a long standing member here on Basschat, and as before when I've dealt with him, everything went perfectly with this transaction... I'm very happy to recommend Gwilym to one and all here on the forum; you can deal with him in complete confidence! Many thanks Gwilym.. Nik

16. Hi Folks, Just bought 2 sets of Rotosound short-scale strings from Matt who's great to deal with; all round good comms and the strings are just what I needed. he has a cool website and Blog as well that's worth checking out... Very happy to recommend Matt to all on Basschat. Thanks Matt! Nik
17. PM sent.. Can you say whatever gauge the strings are? Thanks.
18.
I'm pretty sure that I owned this bass in the early 90's for a few years... Will have a look through my old photos later to double-check and see what the neck was on it at that time!
Having looked back, the one I had was PB1692, which had the older style neck with paddle-shaped headstock.. It was a great sounding bass and like most Wals I've ever owned or played, it was beautifully made and played like a dream! GLWTS of yours
19. Looks like it'll be another successful day folks! Am hoping to be there for this one if I can get back from my holiday in time...which is that very week!
20. I'm pretty sure that I owned this bass in the early 90's for a few years... Will have a look through my old photos later to double-check and see what the neck was on it at that time!
