  1. I reckon it's the mic on the Gopro that's distorting, possibly something to do with the mahoosive bass rig it's in front of.
  2. Shuker will make one to pretty much whatever spec you require.
  3. I can't be the only one who headed straight to the Shuker website after seeing that for the first time?
  4. I listen to 6Music most days - there are loads of good female artists with guitars around at the moment.
  5. That's @Bridgehouse 's Shuker Uberhorn, number 1 iirc A thing of beauty and wonder.
  6. I had the opportunity to take some more photos today, the sun is shining which obviously helps... I took it to see Westbury White Horse Then we found a red telephone box (which is now a book exchange) When pulling out on to the main road after taking the photo above one of the intake pipes on my car literally exploded! I pulled over in a layby by another local attraction and whilst waiting for the recovery to arrive I took this... Sadly, that was the end of our excursion. Who's next?!
  7. Oh absolutely, you have already done more than enough! I am happy to ship it as @Marcoelwray has already said he would cover the cost - my only concern is that it may get lost or damaged.
  8. Are you certain of this @kodiakblair? I have been digging (googling!) and I think it's more likely an International series. As much as I hate to disagree with the Peavey oracle!
  9. You're not helping! I think I just decided to keep it - I scraped off some of the dulux and it's quite nice underneath
  10. Har, you and me both (says he that got another one today!)
  11. I can't take the credit - I bought it like that. It had spent years in a kitchen so was covered in grime. I cleaned it thoroughly, did a fret job on it, new strings and a new jack socket, set it up and it's great! I'd happily sell it though - I have way too many but am not very good at getting rid of them!
  12. It's definitely from 1969 - week 21 I reckon!
  13. It's a Peavey with a 'custom' paintjob - plays fantastic, worth bugger all!
  14. That looks just like this one @Highfox!
  15. Har thanks all! Don't get me wrong - it's not my new gigging bass but given the (extremely) low expectations I had it's not that bad. I paid wall art money for it so that's where it will probably stay, unless I specifically need a proper vintage tone for a recording or somesuch.
  16. It's still here @Grangur! Didn't think it would be so difficult to pass on tbh... In other news - just noticed the Kay has a zero fret!
  17. Thanks for the info - it's clearly a budget instrument but it plays ok - the action is a bit high and the strings sound about 30 years old but it's actually not bad! Truss rod still works too. It's light, and I now know how old it is.
  18. Just picked this up, does anyone have any idea what it is?! Any clues as to it's value other than not very much? It's an old Kay obviously given the logo on the pickplate and the body is plywood but other than that I have very little idea...
  19. He has been a guest on the Radcliffe and Maconie show on 6Music - a really entertaining and funny man.
