1. Just had a wee go of them linked was having a bit of bother getting it all working and only had a picosecond in between bathing a baby and fixing a door but heard the rbi through my poweramp, what a difference in comparison to through the Hartke in the studio. Obviously going through the pre in the Hartke made the sansamp a bit thin as it sounded awesome through the uncoloured poweramp. Eventually got them both working and had to stop, bollox!
2. Just bought a gator rack to hold some of my new gear but my cabs seem a little bit slim for it and I dunno it seems like it could slide about. Anyone have any top tips about how to secure it? I was thinking maybe velcro or I could use some kind of ties on the handles of my cab to the handles of the rack. Any ideas?
3. Thanks for the info I just got the RBI the other week and RPM last night so I'm taking everything down the studio Sunday to get an idea of what it's like, had a wee quiet blast on the RPM last night seems awesome perhaps less aggressive than the RBI?
4. Just wondering if anyone id running these two pre-amps bi-amped and what setting you use? Also any suggestions how I sneak the rack out of the house before the missus realises I've spent the kid's inheritance on gear?
5. Bollox I didn't see they were playing in the UK great band man, 12 string bass!
6. Sold pending the usual.
7. Brilliant DI/Distortion i great nick been inside my pedal case, boxed and all the gubbings, unusually for these the battery box cover is intact as that is the only weak link in an otherwise fantastic bit of kit. Moved over to the RBI but I do think I might regret it. Looking or £90 posted Cut and pasted from Jim Dunlop site [i]Finally, all the essentials in one tough little box. You need a serious D.I. for playing live and laying down killer tracks. You've got to have a preamp and finely tuned EQ to add punch to your tones. And you definitely can't do without some rich, custom distortion. This one-of-a-kind pedal gives you the whole deal in a bomb-proof enclosure that will survive even the most out of control gigs-and players. Built with the highest quality components, the M-80 can give you eve everything from warmth and transparency to a volcanic roar, without making you scroll through menu screens or an indecipherable manual. Engage the color switch for some sweet preset EQ, then tweak your tone with three band control. Dial in your ideal distortion with the gain knob and blend just the right amount into your clean signal, then kick it on and off at will. The adjustable noise gate pours on the sustain and cuts out hum and hiss. With XLR and parallel 1/4" outputs and a phantom power switch, you'll never have a problem delivering your choice new tones. 8. Indeed I shall I'm looking forward to it mate, I've heard you've got a great ...... drummer
9. Going to come to the Glasgow gig Pete.
10. I'll try all the suggestions I reckon Jon might be on the money with the spring tension though.
11.
I've not done anything with it cos it doesn't bother me that much.
Stu are you suggesting I should just forget it and get on with my life?
12. Hi I dunno if anyone has the issue but its driving me nuts on the bridge pickup of my faker is angled forward if I loosen off the screws it eases out and straightens but then the screws don't sit flush!
13. +1 for the MX80 is awesome I'm toying with flogging mine because i've bought an RBI and am waiting for an RPM to partner with it, but I might just keep the m80 as it's great.
14. I've never had any problems, bought and sold gear on here found everyone I've dealt with to be first class.
15. I had an RPM ordered from DV247 but they are now out of stock which is a bit annoying I'll have to see if I can get one elsewhere.
16.
Mate, with these cabs: http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=128890 humping gear isn't a problem! Lightweight and SUPER-powerful!
Lol and they look like the might be quite comfortable to sleep on after I get shown the door by the other half.
17.
I have that exact set-up! I put my RBI into one side of the DPX1400 and the RPM into the other side, each to their own 600W 2x12 cab! Sounds MONSTROUS!! Enjoy!
Nice one I'm glad I'm in good company, I've still to get the RPM I might just bite the bullet and buy it new, but don't tempt we with 2X12 cabs I'm too old to be humphing gear!
18. Cheers Gareth I was looking at the IPR 1600 which I believe you had, while obsessively checking ebay and the amp popped up and from a bloke I'd bought something off before and it was local so all good. They seem to have a few fans but are appear to be thin on the ground, so I'm quite pleased, must have been quite the hi tech thang in it's day
19. I had the BDDI a while back I liked it but moved it on so I'm hoping its more of the same, I was looking at the Peavey IPR 1600 which is incredibly lightweight but I didn't really want to shell out too much cash as I'm hoping to buy the RPM at some point and the DPC 1400X came up. Not as light as the IPR but only takes up 1 slot in a rack which is great but appears to be very deep. Wont get it till the weekend, what reviews I can find are good, but info seems quite sparse.
20. Just picked up a Peavey DPC 1400X power amp to go along with my, soon to arrive sansamp RBI, anyone have any experience of them? Quite looking forward to have blast of me new acquisitions!
21. Thinking of getting a power amp to run with a sansamp RBI and perhaps an RPM, the Peavey IPR 1600 looks good just wondered if anyone had any recommendations or seen any bargains !
22. Hi John here it is I have the box the leads and the wee velcro bit and the clicky if you want it, the screwhead on the scew that holds the belt plate it on is a wee bit mushed as for some reason I must have thought thats how you put in the battery but otherwise it's perfect. I'll pm you
23. Hi john mate I have one of those that I don't use, I got it from Bob Gollihor probaly have the clicky as well, I'll have a wee look at it and think about a price. Cheers Stevie
24.
I did kinda the same thing. Only the other way around. I bought regular straplocks only to find the screws were far too small for the holes!!!!!!!!!!!!! bloody Rickenbacker
I reckon it's a conspiracy against Scottish people, Alex Salmond should hold a summit!
25.
Use a drill bit which is a little smaller than the screw itself. Put the screw on top of the drill bit and you should only see the thread not the shank.
Cheers Mark
