1.
I have that exact set-up! I put my RBI into one side of the DPX1400 and the RPM into the other side, each to their own 600W 2x12 cab! Sounds MONSTROUS!! Enjoy!
Nice one I'm glad I'm in good company, I've still to get the RPM I might just bite the bullet and buy it new, but don't tempt we with 2X12 cabs I'm too old to be humphing gear!
2. Cheers Gareth I was looking at the IPR 1600 which I believe you had, while obsessively checking ebay and the amp popped up and from a bloke I'd bought something off before and it was local so all good. They seem to have a few fans but are appear to be thin on the ground, so I'm quite pleased, must have been quite the hi tech thang in it's day
3. I had the BDDI a while back I liked it but moved it on so I'm hoping its more of the same, I was looking at the Peavey IPR 1600 which is incredibly lightweight but I didn't really want to shell out too much cash as I'm hoping to buy the RPM at some point and the DPC 1400X came up. Not as light as the IPR but only takes up 1 slot in a rack which is great but appears to be very deep. Wont get it till the weekend, what reviews I can find are good, but info seems quite sparse.
4. Just picked up a Peavey DPC 1400X power amp to go along with my, soon to arrive sansamp RBI, anyone have any experience of them? Quite looking forward to have blast of me new acquisitions!
5. Thinking of getting a power amp to run with a sansamp RBI and perhaps an RPM, the Peavey IPR 1600 looks good just wondered if anyone had any recommendations or seen any bargains !
6. Hi John here it is I have the box the leads and the wee velcro bit and the clicky if you want it, the screwhead on the scew that holds the belt plate it on is a wee bit mushed as for some reason I must have thought thats how you put in the battery but otherwise it's perfect. I'll pm you
7. Hi john mate I have one of those that I don't use, I got it from Bob Gollihor probaly have the clicky as well, I'll have a wee look at it and think about a price. Cheers Stevie
8.
I did kinda the same thing. Only the other way around. I bought regular straplocks only to find the screws were far too small for the holes!!!!!!!!!!!!! bloody Rickenbacker
I reckon it's a conspiracy against Scottish people, Alex Salmond should hold a summit!
9.
Use a drill bit which is a little smaller than the screw itself. Put the screw on top of the drill bit and you should only see the thread not the shank.
Cheers Mark
10. The rick screws are the same as the string dampeners screws more like a bolt than a screw, I reckon it may be drill time!
11. Hi Ozzy dunno if you got my pm regarding the RPM, I'll take it if its still available.
12. Hi I just shelled out for some rickenbacker straplocks for my Ibanez rickenfaker, however, the strap button screws are way too big. I'm not a big woodworky guy so is their a tool for widening the holes or do I just use a drill kinda worried my all purpose black decker might be a bit of a blunt instrument or do I just forget it and flog them on here?!
13. Could someone buy this before I do please!
14. If your not fast your last, I'll see if I can get any info, I think Jon has a similar bass to mine so I'll try and contact him. I've been avoiding this site as I vowed not to buy any more bass gear!
15. Sorry for being so vague! I was wondering if the bridge would fit the Ibanez but interested the pick up surround as well.
16. Great job mate I picked up a Boosey and Hawkes Golden Strad a while back that had been thrown out by a school it looks quite similar but it's Czech. I had it set up by a luthier don't think I have your woodworking skills man but I also picked up a a Michael Poller bass for buttons and stripped the lacquer so I could have a blonde! Good luck! This the Golden Strad This is the Poller after I stripped it and oiled it
17. Cheers I'll check them out and Rev I'd need to be able to do the triplets in the first place

19. Hi folks looking for a set of strings that are good for pizz but can slap a bit on, I have the tapewound black innovation rabs which I loved initially, but when I play my other bass with the steels I love the projection, so looking for a halfway house.
20. The 'Ungentle Art' DVD by Mark Rubin and Kevin Smith is good if you can get it
