Hi folks I wonder if anyone has some advice. I have a Classic P Bass like the Vintera it’s got a really thick neck. I love it but i simply can’t play some things on it. I was looking to either just think this bass is good for these tunes and not for these or potentially buy a jazz conversion neck. However a bloke locally is selling a 2009 mim maple precision neck. Which is 42 mm I don’t know the neck profile. I have a couple of jazz basses and the necks are much thinner but I really find my stingray(s) to be the most comfortable and they are thicker than the Jazz basses necks. Would a 2009 mim p bass neck be noticeably thinner than the mim 50s classic (vintera) P neck?

Hi Has anyone used a Two Notes Torpedo Cab M for EUB, I'm looking for an IR Loader really that needs to be able to handle impulse responses at 200 ms. There is the TC Electronics which looks great but I'd like a headphone out and the DI would be useful. Any advice or knowledge appreciated! Cheers S

I bought this little M-Vave IR Box from Aliexpress .... £20. An IR Loader, an interface s di, with a headphone out. Comes loaded with mostly guitar IRs but a few bass options which are to my ears good! Loaded some Sigma Audio DB IRs and my EUB sounds great (might all be in my head 😄 may be no difference) I plugged the interface into cubase and it recorded fine. Controlled via buetooth. I mean even just as a tiny headphone amp its great for the price. TC looks perfect but I'd almost exclusively using it with the EUB so a pedal that doubles as a headphone amp would be handy.

Can anyone recommend an IR loader to use with my NS Design EUB with the Sigma Bass IRs? @JPJ looks like he has done the same thing I'm thinking of. I could use the stomp but apparently it's better to have more milliseconds. The TC Electronics looks good but ideally I'd like a headphone out to double as a wee practice rig. Looked at the Tonexone but not sure if it will be better than the stomp .... or if I'll even notice 😄

Turns out the high mass bridge I has had left an indentation in the finish so I have to stick with it. 😔

Hi I recently bought a Fender 50s Classic p bass. First P Bass I've ever owned and I love it but I was wondering if there is a similar old school style P Bass but with a thinner neck? I'm used to a Musicman and found the odd part a wee bit of a struggle on the P Bass.... I could just practice a bit of course!

I think it's awesome it's my go to for fun but it is loud, my plan is to use it for recording either try the di or mic the cab. I've got the capo and the cranbourne audio ec1 so the plan is to record a signal from the either the capo or the Cranbourne and send the clean signal to the ashdown for a more overdriven tone. Might be overkill or it might be great but I'm glad I bought it either way. However, buying the Ashdown has made me buy a P Bass to get that old school vibe. I blame Ashdown! Seriously though I really like it.
