  1. Very excited!
  2. Just arrived today, totally looking forward to using it and trying it with my Cranborne Camden EC1!
  3. Studio mic preamps, I’m not sure what normal power is but knowing the person in question he’ll know them inside out, I personally don’t have a clue 😀. The Jad Freer domino looks perfect he is contacting them to see about the fan.
  4. Spoke to a pal of mine who is a lawyer and he told me it's not really business rates it's actually non domestic rates, so if you have a lock up for hobby stuff or a horse (??) you are eligible for the Small Business Rates Relief we are going to have a quick chat with the council. Our landlord says we will get the rebate but we need to sort it with the relevant people.
  5. Does anyone have their own rehearsal space? We have taken on the lease of ours. I reckon we need to apply for Small Business Rates Relief. As the rateable value is less than £12000 we should be eligible for 100%. Anyone got experience? We are not really a business and the lease is in one of the guy’s names. Just want to make sure we don’t make any mistakes! The room is for us not a commercial concern!
  6. I’m probably over complicating things but the Alexa device and the Hotone are both using the 3.5mm outs into the audio selector and then 3.5 to 1/4 inch jacks into the monitors, I bought a new preamp and thought I’ll set my interface up and the interface now is connected to the monitors. I could have got a 3.5mm to TRS adapter or cable and plugged the Hotone and Alexa directly in to the interface but didn’t think of that! The splitters work fine tho and I don’t need to turn my interface on to use the Hotone or the Alexa device so all good!
  7. Just checked 24v/500ma per output
  8. I think it’s 500 ma each but I’d need to check and they need to be isolated. The Jad Freer Domino looks perfect but it might have a fan which could be a deal breaker 😔
  9. We are looking for a power supply to power some studio preamps, 24v 500ma , I think Yankee do some and Jad freer but anyone have any other options. I think it needs about 8 outputs. https://yankee.com.pl/hs-m12-power-supply/
  10. The interface is not linked to my computer all the time and it would be a different audio source I did think about just using the other input in my interface for the hotone and the alexa device It is either A or B not mixed together.
  11. I have an interface going into my monitors but previously I had a little Hotone amp and an alexa device and used a Nobosound Little bear Selector to select each signal. Now my interface is going into the monitors which is cool but occasionally I might want to listen to music so I thought I could use splitter and take the outs from the Nobosound and the outs from the interface. Alternatively I could buy a little mixer I'm not going to mix tho!
  12. Hi Decko not averse to posting but obviously going to cost a wee bit and you might get stung at customs.
  13. I have a set of studio monitors which I use for practicing and recording but I wouldn’t mind using them to play music but need more inputs. Would a couple of cable splitters work? I could get an input selector but needs to be small!
  14. Seymour Duncan Studio Bass absolutely top notch compressor. No box, Velcro on the base and a some chips but good condition. I always found compression a wee bit confusing until I got this, but that might just have been me 🤔
  15. Thanks for all the info folks!
  16. I’m keen to try the link out to a little valve amp I have and record a clean from the EC1 and an overdriven tone from the amp.
  17. Awesome Si it’s great, if you are off to some new gig ….. good luck!
  18. I dunno if ‘New Preamp Day’ is a thing but it is for me! Cranborne Audio Camden EC1! Loving it, really cool.
  19. £23 posted! Great little OC2 clone, bought, plugged in and put back in the box! Having a bit of a clear out!
  20. Bump for a bass called Brian. Would consider a trade for a P-Bass of similar value as I've never owned one.
  21. £120 posted Incredibly versatile acoustic pre-amp bought ages ago for use with my upright and stored in a peli case already to get used and it's been in there ever since. I may have the box and the power supply is not the original though I probably have it somewhere. Five band very musical eq and a really useful switchable semi-parametric notch filter Master volume control a phase reversal switch a selector for Violin, Guitar, or Bass instruments a mute switch phantom power switch ground lift and power on/off switch.
  22. Mission Expression Pedal SP1-L6H LINE 6 £100 posted Mission Expression Pedal SP1-L6H built like a tank. Bought to use with my stomp plugged in and put back in the box never to see the light of day again, essentially new!
