I'm thinking of trying a new pickup wiring that I've seen I know you can coil split humbucker pickups but if its possible how would you wire 2 single coil pickup on a on-on-on switch so they can be series-parallel-humbucker They would be configured like this Any advice inc diagrams would be gratefully received

Theres lots of acoustic guitars made out of oak so I can't see it being a problem and my next few builds are going to have Oak fretboards (and possibly Oak necks) so I'm watching this with interest...... 👍🏻

Post your pictures, Lets see what you all look like.

Unfortunately we live in a world of "free speech" so everyone will get offended by something be it whichever side of the fence you are and unfortunately you can't say X's opinion is wrong just because it differs to your ideals or beliefs? Because in their mind they are correct and their reasons for their opinions are no less valid than yours! TBH I couldn't give a flying F**k if your black, white, gay, straight or every other flavour in between if your a decent person then that's the most important thing to me! I try to keep my opinions to myself then I can't offend anyone but in this current climate it happens far to easily as this thread has proved

I think them fret markers will look really different! I've only ever seen the stickers? Are they going to be metal or you going to resin them or something? 👍🏻
-
Im leaning more towards with the pickguard? I think it needs a bit of a tweak tho? Im thinking single coil pickup with the pickguard or split coil without? The pickguard will probably be made out of wood and stained black or maybe kept natural I'll decide nearer the time?...... 👍🏻

The pedal was well packaged and posted really quickly! Great comms kept me updated! Would definitely buy from Paul again!...... 👍🏻

Surprise surprise this build is changing! I ended up selling the body as I wasn't happy with it! This is now going to be another hybrid a mix of a Rick and '51 P bass (I think I might call it the P-Rick) Its going to be made out of reclaimed materials again possibly oak or mahogany topped or I might try a bit of shou sugi ban finish on some Pine? I can't decide whether to have a pickguard or not here's roughly how it might look? With a pickguard Or without The headstock shape is probably going to change to a more plain shape but I haven't decided yet?........... 👍🏻

I've been offered a zoom 3000B for cheap from a mate, I've found the manual online but can't really find any other reviews or anything on it Has anyone had any experience with them? 👍🏻

I did look at them but the cheapest I've seen the b3's are over £100 because this is my first multi fx pedal I kinda wanted to keep it a bit cheaper than that...... 👍🏻
-
Its only for home use I just wanted to dip my toe in the world of effects and thought that a multi fx pedal would be a good option so obviously I don't want to spend too much I did have a look on the zoom website and I'll probably not use all the effects I'll mostly use the usual suspects dirt/octave/comp/chorus and auto wah etc Out of the b1x on and the b1 four which one would you recommend? 👍🏻

Thanks for the replies What about the older b1xon theres one on here for sale how do they stand up to the newer versions? 👍🏻

Hi everyone and Merry Christmas I'm looking to get a multi effects pedal and I've watched some reviews on the zoom b1 four and the vox stomplab sl1b and they both look as good as each other but I want some opinions on which one everyone thinks is the better option? I've searxhed on here and found some info about the zoom but not alot cane up about the vox....... 👍🏻

Thanks anyway I might give it a go and see what happens..... 👍🏻

I've populated it as listed on the BOM, so do you think I should swap D1 for a Red LED instead? I might have to pick your brain about a problem with my kit built OD pedal (DOD 250 clone) it just doesn't sound right its really muddy and when your trying to play riffs like RATM Know your enemy it just sounds a mess there is no clarity of the notes (I don't think its my playing?) I think that I need to change C1 for a much higher value something like 100nf does that sound about right? 👍🏻

Right if I undestand correctly if the sense and range is on full and the volume on my bass is full then I should still hear the effect? I think I'm right in thinking the harder the attack then the more pronounced the effect will be or is that what the sense pot does? I'll have to try it tomorrow as the kids are in bed now...... 👍🏻

Here's my pedal board! I feel a bit inadequate 😔
-
Thanks @WoodinblackI thought that might be the case but it was worth a shot I suppose I'll just have to use it when everyone's out so I can play it at a reasonable volume...... 👍🏻

Hi all Bit of help needed regarding a auto wah pedal that I'm building from a kit (Jeds Peds) I have never played through an auto wah pedal before so I think it all works fine? Except if the volume is low then no effect happens is that normal with this type of pedals and if not has anybody got any ideas if by changing a component I can change this? I've added the schematic and BOM just incase...... 👍🏻
