1. Hello Chaps & Chapesses, due to my gigging days being looooong gone - I can't really justify keeping both this & my fretless fatwire & therefore it is for trade. In really nice condition for it's age with just very light marks here & there - but no chips & the neck is clean. Light swirling on the back - but nothing serious being in used & definately not abused condition. Battery compartment cover fully functioning. Plays like a dream & sounds luverly - having just had a Pro set up. I'm sure you know the script with these beauties - two Jazz pickups, volume, volume and switchable -stacked active bass & treble control. 24 frets double octave fingerboard, through maple neck, Steinbereger - stays in tune forever - tuning system , lightweight, beautifully balanced, fits into a guitar gig bag - got to be one of the best & most underated basses - ever!! I've owned a number of these cheeky chappies over the years and they never let you down plus this is a particularly nice example of this classic bass. Would like to exchange for a nice, quality, lightweight cab - 1 x 10, 1 x12, or would consider other configurations as long as it is light & small - oo me back!! As to the trade value, - pick a number between £225 & £275, but who knows these days ?? Thank you for your time & interest peeps Pics to follow when uploader fixed?? - please PM me with your email address if you want pictures before it's fixed.

3. When I was a lot younger than I am now, the weight of a bass was never a consideration - however, due to arthritis, neck & back problems, sciatica etc, etc now it is vital!! I love Status Basses & have owned quite a few over the years - the only reason I don't own one at present is the weight of them! I'm sure that if they offered a lightweight version of their wonderful instruments - I can't be the only one who would own one once again & no matter how many superlatives bass reviewers use to describe a bass, if the weight is much above 8lbs, or worse still they don't state the weight - l've lost interest in a nano second, or even a jiffy!! It may be a subject that most bass builders are unaware of - just like how much businesses can lose because they only offer a 0845 contact number - I'm sure I'm not the only scrooge out there either??
4. To my 'very' old eyes - judging by the pic of the rear of the neck it looks like it's been thinned down from the back at some point, for whatever reason????
5. Hi chaps, here is my BH250 Head which I bought recently on here. It is a great piece of kit - but as my gigging days are over, someone who 'is' gigging may as well get the best from it! I'm sure you know the script with these babies - plenty loud enough - read the review in Bass Guitar Magazine - small, light & tonally wonderful. The Toneprint is easy to use - even for an old fossil like me & because this has the footswitch, it allows you to store two Toneprints at the same time & instantly switch between them! It is in perfect working order & comes complefe in the original box, with manual, a lead for connecting to a computer to enable downloads of the many standard & custom Toneprints - (you can also use a smartphone to do this}! a lead for connecting to an ipod etc for playing along with - (through a speaker, or silently through headphones)! + the optional extra footswitch & connecting lead at a cost of £39.00. The three buttons on the 'really' well built footswitch are - 1). - Mute - for silent tuning on stage 2), - Toneprint on/off and 3). - Switch between the last two loaded Toneprints - 'fab'!! The amp also features a built in tuner - so that's one less thing to carry around! It looks brand spanking new & the only thing I need to mention is that one of the handles? / control knob protectors has a slight bias towards the controls - but this does not affect any operation of the controls. It really is worth reading the review in Bass Guitar Magazine - as it's the only amp I've seen that they gave full marks to on all levels!! Looking for a firm £215 which is what paid for it. Thanks for your time Guys
6. Is this still here?? Has the world gone mad?? - one of the best EQ sections available today by a country mile!!
7. 'Condiments'?? - I always said you were the salt of the Earth Martin!! This 'may' be sold via Evil Bay - grrrrrr!!
8. Thanks Guys !! ............ 'confidence' - 'Goldfish' - 'Baloons' - at my age all denominations gratefully received - ta !!
9. Here is my wonderful California USA made SKB i Series waterproof amp/mic/etc flightcase. Needless to say this is virtually bombproof in addition to being waterproof & extremely light, weighing in at just 2.5kg - on digital bathroom scales. The external dimensions are 17" x 12" x 6" The intrernal dimensions are 15.75" (40mm) x 9.75"(25mm) & depth wise, will accept most of the new breed of Class D amplifiers, or several mics, etc, etc. Due to the internal high quality foam - once your amp is in there - it doesn't move at all. Looking for £50 + postage, not a great deal to protect your expensive amp etc, from the rigours of being on the road. 11. Thanks for the burmp & kind words It really is the biz & having owned almost everything several times over, in my humble opinion the build quality is second to none!!
12. Trade pending - yes I know, but I couldn't resist + not gigging doesn't make you lose the GAS!!
13. Due to retirement - blah, blah - (see my other listing for my Eden amp I'm also selling for the 'sizzle')! here is my Ampeg PF 350 Portaflex Head up for grabs, which is in very good condition. Lightweight, tiny & could take your head off at a 100 paces !! - how something that fits into a gigbag & produces virtually the same tone as my old beloved SVT - (oo me back) - did, is beyond my 'fossil' comprehension!! Check out the link to see what features this beauty offers:- http://www.ampeg.com...rtaflex/pf-350/ I've removed the two little handles? from each side of the control panel - as they got in the way, but will include if I can find them in case you wish to do a refit - which is a 5 minute job, although one is boken/repaired, but still works OK - personally, I think it looks much better without them. Comes complete with a camera type 'flight case' to keep it in good nick Got to be worth £165 collected, or £185 delivered to UK Mainland. Thanks for looking Guys ps - If I'd have invented the Universe - I'd have left retiring from gigging out !!
14. Due to 'complete' retirement this time !! - apologies to ear plug & cotton wool manufacturers to dent their profits!! - up for grabs is my David Eden 30th Anniversary WTX260 Head, which is in virtually mint condition. As I'm sure you are aware - the '260' refers to the rms output in the USA - however, on our voltage in the UK it pushes out 300w of pure class bass tone. To say these little beauties are feature packed would be a bit of an understatement to say the least + it's light as you like & fts into a gigbag. Check out the link below - it's got the lot!! http://eden-electron...div/wtx260.aspx I've also owned a couple of WTX500 heads in the past & albeit they may have had more headroom? - they did not seem a scrillion times louder to my old cloth ears & as pointed out to me by a knowledgable friend - the difference in terms of loudness between a 250w & a 500w amp equates to one decibel on the loudness scale type thingy & as he jested, that's the equivelent to a vey small doormouse passing wind in the field next to the one you are standing in !! - hey don't shoot the messenger if I'm wrong you Techno Guys !! Complete with the original David Eden Owners manual. Got to be worth £250 of anyones hard earned - collected, or £275 delivered - UK Mainland Thanks for looking Guys - I suppose retirement comes to us all in the end !!
15. Ryan is a Great Guy & is an absolute pleasure to deal with !! Thanks again Ryan - you are a credit to our Forum All the best Tim
16. Hi Chaps & Chapesses, Having just aquired the most wonderful Yamaha BB404F fretless bass from our very own Flippyfloop - great Guy, by the way - I am toying with the idea of upgrading the two Jazz type *passive* pickups. The rest of the Bass is unbelievable - at any price - action, weight, balance, intonation, etc, etc - but the pickups could be a tad lacking in output? It would be great, or rather essential that the replacement - passive - pickups are a direct replacement for the original ones - so there is no chance of me ruining the nicest bass I've ever owned by having to re - shape the p/up housings. They both measure 90mm x 20mm Thanks Guys & Gals - all donations will be gratefully received!
