I did that thing where I convinced myself I needed a Sandberg 5er, got a beauty, took it to a few different rehearsals and sessions thinking 'this is where I'll bust it out', never actually did 'bust it out' and slowly realised I probably never will have the opportunity to 'bust it out', lovely as it is. So it's just playing along at home with tracks that specifically have the low B just so it isn't ornamental. It's wasted on me as current projects have no need for it, which is a shame, so... if anyone's interested in a Sandberg at a steal it's up in the market place... 👀

Don't hate me for also being a drummer... But I've got this little kit that wants rehoming. Mapex Saturn floor tom conversion. Nice punchy and full kick for it's size. 10" tom sounds great for an old Percussion Plus jobby, 12" could probably do with a an ec2 clear to match but still sounds good. Tom mount for 10" and boom arm clamp for 12" included, you'll probably want a riser of sorts for kick though unless you plan on adding wooden hoops. If so, I have some old claws and rods you can have. Collection obviously preferred, can meet up locally or deliver within reason for a bit more. Offers welcome, need gone asap really. Cheers, Andrew

SOLD So I part traded this with this forum's Hazbeen for a beloved AVRI Fender and have finally accepted that I will probably never actually need a 5er so off it must go. The most comfortable bass I've ever played action wise, fair share of wear and tear, tried to show in pics. Still plays and sounds perfect. Trials welcome. Low serial, supposedly they were made better back then, so I'm told. 5 string 34" scale 4.8kg Alder body Rosewood fingerboard Maple neck Delano Precision/MM configuration Glockenklang Pre Will pack for post if you're willing to handle courier. Collection/meet up preferred Trades: preferably done in person at a mutual location. Ideally after a Jazz bass, Sandberg or Fender, rosewood with block inlays, white/black and tort is the preference. Fender USA/Jap/Mex considered but with difference made up. Others include Gibson RIpper/Grabber or maybe Ibanez copies of, anything of that similar, raspier ilk. Cheers, any questions get in touch, Andrew

Hardly used SPD 30 with snare and kick triggers, kick pedal attachment and beater, hi hat pedal, clamp and brand new Swan flight case. Oh, and leads to connect them all too. It's been sat unused for at least a year so it should move on to a new loving home. I know they're £700 new but we've got easily over £1000 worth of gear here with all the extras so I'd say £600 is pretty decent. Might consider a trade for an SPD-SX. If you need more pics/close ups, gimme a shout. Thanks

Hermann's Guitars - anyone heard of/tried one of their necks?

A precision pun on the fretless sound whether intended or not. Tickled me at least.

I bought a copy of the Pedaltrain (Spider Cases) and was dismayed when I realised my Fuel Tank was too deep... so I improvised. Went to a local hardware shop and got some longer screws and nuts to raise the height of the board just enough to allow space for the PSU. Works a treat! Much cheaper than buying a new PSU too.

Wunjo would put a mark up of a grand on a plectrum though. -

Yeah I'm beyond happy with it, otherwise I wouldn't have sold my AVRI. Just wondered if I should have convinced him to go lower. Cheers guys. -

Fairly certain it came as natural, plenty of marks on the body to suggest that. -

Yeah, will try get some pics. I reckon it has been refretted as some are a little sharp. -

Oh, the case isn't an issue, I've got a nice tweed case for it but I did see a very similar bass with a flight case go on ebay for £3 less haha And you can't see the condition from that pic. There are a couple of tiny holes in the fretboard behind a couple of frets and there is a weird depression beneath the A string. Most curious though is a kind of dot pattern on the body in certain lights, like old comics or a Roy Lichtenstein pic. Maybe it's just a mark on the lacquer from storage? My paranoia thought at first "oh my god, this wood finish is printed on, it's a fake!" but that's a bit extreme. Especially as you can see the joins in the wood and the less than smooth neck pocket on the underside is concurrent with other Ps I've seen of the same age and everything looks legit otherwise.
