  1. Would happily take £800 collected
  2. Part exed my Stingray with Bob. The madman drove 3 hours from Wales to show me how to make the Stingray sound as it should through the lovely little Aguilar TH500 we swapped and drove back again. The man has constitution if nothing else! 😄 Lovely guy, pleasure to deal with. Thanks, Bob!
  3. Bridge pup from a Standard series bass (I believe USA and MIM used the same, 048613 on the bobbin). Pickguard might be from a Player series bass, not sure, but it's free with the pup if you want it.
  4. These are just bits in a box, happy to sell the lot together or offer me on individual bits if you like. ***sold*** Fender USA pure vintage bridge, came on a bass and I swapped it out. £35 posted? Bridge pup from a Standard series bass (think USA and MIM used the same, 048613 on the bobbin). £20? Pickguard also came with, might be from a Player series bass, not sure. Happy to give away if you buy the pup.
  5. Also, these are the pups which an image search tells me are Duncans but no actual text on the subject so not sure how Google has come to that conclusion...
  6. I've commented this exact same thing on an older thread but thought I'd copy it in here as it's newer. Zombie thread! I love my MIJ Mustang. If I had to be picky, the tuners are a bit clunky. That's it. I want to get another for one with flats, one with rounds. Looking at the USA with the J pup for rounds, flats on the MIJ. I've played the USA, it plays just fine and feels similar enough to the MIJ. EVERYBODY goes on about the JMJ, though. He is one of my favourite players, too, but I don't want the relic job, but! The sound of the chunkier neck is appealing. I usually play a P but am transitioning to shortys for those festivals and the like where there is no time to warm up. Also, because it makes me look less small onstage 😅 Any objective opinions on this? My MIJ sounds great with flats and rounds. Feels great, plays great. Am I really going to have a life changing experience with the JMJ or will I be fine, just fine, with the USA alongside the MIJ? Thanks!

  8. I could also be interested in a part ex for an AG700/TH700
  9. According to Fender, rolls off highs without increasing bass/muddiness

  11. About 4.5kg and KT12, just outside of Kingston
  12. Irish guy with watermelons, I'm assuming we're on the same page 😊✊ For anyone interested, the stickers do come off and I intend to keep them.
  13. Trials welcome! In KT12. Can post if you arrange courier. Trades for a US Mustang performer considered. Other interesting shortscales of worth also considered. Maybe even a part-ex on a Mex Mustang PJ. And maybe even part ex on an AG700... Daphne blue PJ not for sale anymore. A lovely rare finish, believe it's 2004. OHSC included. Since getting more into Mustangs, I've decided I don't need 4 P basses 🫠 S1 switch (whether or not you think that's pointless on a P is a moot point, it works if you want softer/clearer for upper register chords and what not). It's a classic P and it's pretty. What can I say. Player grade with little dings and scratches. Slight bit of pickguard has cracked off by the jack, can provide a basic tort or a kind of mint pickguard if that's a deal breaker. Came with an ashtray cover for the bridge, tell me if you want it and I'll dig it out.
  14. Viewings welcome! Not getting the love it deserves so seeing if any interest. Don't know if £1500 is realistic but that's less than I've seen others listed for elsewhere. Happy to hear your offers on what you think is fair. Comes with the original hardcase and black pickguard, unopened polish cloth and case key, extra red tort and white pearl guards. Trade/Part ex interest: US Fender with rw neck and block inlays Lakland PJ JMJ/American Performer Mustang Lovely Jazz/PJ with J neck Aguilar AG/TH700 3
  15. Had to put this at auction on ebay if anyone was interested
  16. Currently wearing some regular slinkys but also has a set of Rotosound tapewounds
  17. BTW, forgot to mention it's a short scale as I've had some asks. Folks are welcome to come try it with no obligation to buy.
  18. *Massively lowering asking because I don't want to lose the bass I'm after which is currently available!* Will consider Mustang trades/P bass with Jazz neck/Jazz or similar. Bought earlier in the year but doesn't fit my band's vibe aesthetically. They were a limited run of 2 years, increasingly hard to find and super well made (I see you, China sceptics!) I've owned 2 90s Rivolis, a Guild Starfire 2 reissue and 2 Jack Casady basses. This outplays them all, IMO. Few minor body dings from previous owner, neck and fretboard perfect, though. Comes with a padded soft case. Plays great, sounds great! Just can't justify having a semi hollow at this moment. Collection with cash/PayPal friends and family preferred but will package to post if you book the courier. Any questions, hit me!
  19. Any chance you'd be open to a trade for a Fender Coronado II...?
  20. This sounds like an idea! Thanks
  21. I figured it was just because it was a cheapo bass but yeah, also makes sense that the bridge was swapped out. I borrowed a friends DB once and I don't remember it feeling anywhere near as high as this. I'm certain the neck joint is fine, surely I'd have seen or heard cracking of some kind if it was going, right?
  22. Yeah, the thing was covered in them and I've gradually been removing them 😄 There's a cheap piezo installed under the fingerboard, too. Amplifies nothing but the slap so was clearly owned by a dude that was all about that!
