1. Yes, it is the same model. I thought you were thinking it had been sold on Basschat before.
2. Blimey. The problem is solved someone reviews it as being perfect for heavy metal. Case closed!! :-)
3. I don't think that'll be this bass but you'll get the idea certainly. They are certainly very striking.
4. Sure Brian. Is there anything you want in particular? PM me your email if you like and I can take whatever you want to see. I can email the full size pictures if that helps.
5. My band use a TX10 (Alto) to great effect. Not as powerful as the TS series but it is plenty loud enough for the job you describe.

7. Seems it went for $68,750 in the end.
8. Thank you. Yes, it's a reallly great looking thing and plays just as good as it looks.
9. Time for a bump. I could include a Fender SKB shaped case with some adjustment.
10. I could post it certainly. I haven't had any problems posting.but try and chicken out of it if I can. IT comes in a very well padded Warwick gig bag which is is more tha capable of keeping it safe and supports the neck properly too. Are you at the other end of the country. You may be surprised at how far I'd go to meet rather than post it (it's more personal as much as anything).
11. Very pretty, lightweight Aerodyne in CAR with matching headstock. The usual excellent Japanese build quality in a nice light instrument that is very comfortable to play. Pickups have been upgraded to US versions for a bit more oomph and give a huge tonal variety. I have rarely used it and that is why it should find a home where it will be played. Collection preferred and I am willing to travel a reasonable distance to place into your hot, sweaty hand. Feel free to ask any questions.
12. I say this only to show how diverse people tastes (or lack of) are but I simply cannot stand to hear his playing. I appreciate my bank manager will take a different view. The plaque is, indeed, a nice touch and should be applauded. More of it, for sure.
13. I keep seeing (in my mind) that film clip of Woodie Allen playing the cello in a marching band!
14. I can actually play a C major scale on a tenor saxophone (that's because my dad was a phenomenal tenor player).
15. ..................... and why do they turn up with 10 minutes to go before you start and hand you their microphone, put their instrument case exactly where you intend to stand and then wander off to the bar while you deal with said mic and then wait for them to be served. They always clear off moments after the last number finishes.
16. Just returned from meeting with Tim to sell him an Alto TX15. Great comms leading to a simple, no fuss transaction. Very friendly guy and a highly recommended chap indeed.
17. I would suggest two things (3 actually). Stuck your fingertips in the hottest water you can stand. I am l;ed to believe the discomfort is caused by the blood vessels being constricted by the constant flattening by playing. The hot water opens them up again. Sorry Jaco, but the washing up would have helped! Secondly (and I found this out) using flats makes the problem worse. I reckon this is because flats mean a greater surface area against your finger. That's logical whn you think about it, a bit like a grooved tyre and a racing slick. To compensate for all these when I'm playing, I tend to lick my fingers regularly.
18. Pretty much unused and now surplus to requirements. It was used as a monitor but the band has downsized on the monitor front. Specs as in the link : https://www.altoproa...m/products/tx15 I can post some pictures if required. £120. Collection is very much preferred (Portsmouth) but I am happy to meet up at a reasonable distance if that helps.
19. It's not cheap that's true but it's great value for what you get.
20. I have just spent a thoroughly enjoyable and productive 4 days at a studio near Sittingbourne in Kent. It is run by a guy who has built a barn to house the studio and amassed a whole host of lovely vintage gear (as well as up to the minute stuff too). You can record through an old Decca mixing console and play your bass through a lovely Portaflex. Loads of Hammonds/Leslies and a wonderful array of old drums Mike Thorne is a drummer). I have no connection to the place but have spent a lot of time in studios over the years and this one is head and shoulders above them all. Not only does Mike put you entirely at ease, enabling you to play your best but his partner also provides outstanding food for lunch. We stayed at an inexpensive self-catering barn type place locally and had a great time and I strongly suspect that the CD will reflect the experience. Check out Rimshot Studio near Sittingbourne. Excellent facility. http://www.rimshotstudio.co.uk/
21. I wonder what kind of venues you mean. I suspect most pub managers would answer a few very basic questions before not bothering with the rest.
22.
well, I love it I find the bassline very cool. And when you play it in a full venue and people sings it back (I used to play in a RHCP tribute band for a few years) made my arm hairs stand up...
........... but not your third sock I hope! :-)
23. A good griend of mine has a Bergantino 2x12 and that is awesome. I have been tempted, even as a die-hard 15's man.
24. Really pleased for you. Congratulations.
