I used the 20 quid behringer whammy clone pedal for years... I only needed the effect for about 20 seconds of the set so was a bit reluctant to spend a fortune. Done the job perfectly! Don't get me wrong, it didn't feel premium in in shape or form, but didn't feel like it would fall to bits! Ive had loads of behringer stuff over the years, bass amps, guitar amps, mixers etc... I wouldn't have a problem buying behringer in the future!

I started wearing war protectors pretty any where where the loud noise.. Even at gigs I'm there to watch! Might not be cool but it's not worth the risk! Plus, things just sound better when the sound is controlled a bit!

For those hunting down a case for the Stomp, I've picked this up off amazon for £11.99 and it's perfect. https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07T8FCL91/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 It's obviously quite lightweight but more than adequate to ensure the unit doesn't get knocked about when popped into the front pocket of my bass case along with loose cables and all the other random bits and bobs. Enough space for the stomp, power supply, and a few other bits and bobs.

My mate got one so I've had a go. Loved it. And with more bands going towards iems I think there's a definite growing market for it. Too expensive for me, but as others have said, if it was more around 150, then I'd definitely consider it.

I must admit, I had some initial concerns over the complexity of it. Butnow I've got it set up how I like it.. With the 3 pedals being assigned to 3 individual blocks within one preset, that's my live bass rig sorted and it's pretty easy to navigate. I still canr get over how good the guitar stuff sounds. Quite astonishing!

Picked up a helix stomp yesterday. First impressions is that it's brilliant. particularly the reverbs sound lush and rich! Not really delved too much into it yet but I'm very excited to gig it. Bass wise I don't do much with effects, so it's mainly going to be used for its preamp options, so I think I'm more excited for the guitar side if thing. I think the knobs and buttons feel a bit flimsy though. I have a slight worry somethings going to fall off!

Well only if there's a breach or misrep. Your bank (whether its a cc or a debit card) will do a charge back if they believe there's a good prospect of success first.

Did you get a receipt at the time?

Not 6 string, but I strung a 5 string EADGC. didn't like it though as ultimately most of the playing gets played on the E and A strings and I found the stretch to the E where the B would normally be too much like hard work. If youre a soloist and the majority of you're playing will be in the higher strings then it makes more sense. Not for my style of play though

A good common sense approach. And very very true! I think it would be impossible to not nick ideas from other people... Knowingly or unknowingly! It's just the way the world of music works!

This might be a bit controversial but I think sets go on just a bit too long! Im almost akways ready to go up the road before the encore! I know we pay alot for tickets these days so we probably want more for the money, but personally I'd rather it to be slightly short, rather than going on too long!

Slightly amusing anecdote. My band Wrap Party did a video during lockdown of God gave rocknroll. We did the whole get millions of people to sing the chorus and overlay the video with all their videos kinda thing.... We did it before everyone started to do it.... Anyway... It was then when someone told me it was a cover.. My mind was blown. Few weeks later we were contacted by the editor of the newsletter for russ ballard asking if we'd want included in the next newsletter cos russ thought it was great! Probably distributed to about 60 people but still quite cool!

Can I rejoin the BB club please? With this wee number: BBG4sII in white. Theres a story to this. My Dad and I visited sound control in glasgow around 96 looking for my first proper bass. I had been playing a cheap p bass copy which was OK but i wanted something a bit special. I picked this out, and my mum and dad got it for my christmas. Regrettably, around 6 years later, i thought it would be cool to put a bass trem on it, strip the paint, then defret it! I also painted a red stripe on it. I then sold it on ebay. Anyways, I've been hunting another one down for years for nostalgia sake, but it seems they mostly came in different colours other than white. This one came up on Facebook marketplace so had to go for it! Getting this in my hands make me regret mutilating the original even more! It's actually a very capable bass! feels great to play, and the hardware is solid. Sound-wise lets it down slightly. possibly because I'm used to having a mid EQ, but because it only has bass treble you're kinda limited - but it's easily giggable, which hopefully i will soon! I love it. brings back some seriously nice memories of jamming to tunes in my bedroom, through my hifi, with my big earphones. I wonder if theres some muscle memory going on which makes this feel better than it actually is, because I played this ALOT! haha

That's ashame. Post a photo if you can be arsed il compare them to mine to see if they're fake or not
