    Another vote for Protection Racket. A bit fatter than a normal gig bag, but with good reason - extra protection. They also have custom placeable pads to fit and secure your bass precisely.

    Where he says it should be 40mm and not 38mm at the nut because of the 19mm spacing at the bridge sounds like rubbish. Fenders and Sadowskys are 38mm with 19mm spacing IIRC, as are many other J types.
