  1. That and being worn really low and thrashed with a pick I imagine. The one above certainly looked like that’s how it was so damaged around the heel area, that and 50 years (at the time) of use.
  2. You’re back? But you escaped! You were free! Why, why, why? 🤣 back.
  3. January - Pilot
  4. Unless they’re ‘70s Les Pauls.
  5. Well done, Sir. That's the tone, right there! https://www.facebook.com/clarkpegasus/videos/1641659539516118
  6. There's already a thread for this subject, have a look here However, here are some RWs I've had over the years, you can tell which one is genuine wear.
  7. Higher Ground - Stevie Wonder & RHCP or Thunder (different songs BTW)
  8. Roundabout - Yes
  9. Future Games - F Mac
  10. Shapes of Things - The Yardbirds
  11. You never know with Lidl or Aldi, you just might find a bass next to the cornflakes. They could tie up with Thomann!
  12. Walk Like An Egyptian - The Bangles
  13. My knees keep telling me I’m older than I am, but then my daft kid brain makes them go out and do things so they ache all over again. It’s all very Joseph Heller.
  14. Sail Away - Clannad
  15. A mere lad! We need you younger folk to balance out those of us of an older persuasion (at least in years on the planet, not necessarily in the way we act or think ).
  16. I did some interesting sport routes in the Dolomites. However, I probably did more VFs. Such a great part of the world for mountain activities.
  17. Last Train To Clarksville - The Monkees
  18. All About That Bass - Meghan Trainor
  19. The ergonomics of that must make playing super easy. Very striking. I like it. GLWTS.
  20. Baritown - Steely Dan
  21. It was quite the bass but, ultimately, I started to worry about it (which is a nonsense as it was road worn within an inch of its life) and not take it out any more, which was dumb. It was really lightweight but, because of that, had a tendency to neck dive.
  22. Femur From An Imaginary Western - Jack Bruce
  23. I know which bit you mean and I used to play as per the recording, but these days, I find myself repeating the tougher fill and forgetting the easier pentatonic run down. Not showing off, after all it's just for me, but I think it sounds better, although I am trying to ease the other riff in occasionally just so it's there if I need it.
  24. Used to play Pump It Up in a band I was in, so much fun. I even got to play it on one of Bruce Thomas' basses that I bought (he didn't like it as much as his salmon pink one), which was weird and wonderful at the same time.
