Bitten by the Mustang/short scale bug eh? It’s a slippery slope but a wonderfully comfortable one.

With the likes of Gibson and Fender reissuing guitars and basses from ‘the golden era’ and people buying those in big numbers, the desire for the ‘real thing’ will always be there. Scarcity breeds value and desire it seems.

That is the very man, also known as Mr Clock. I consider myself lucky to have played with him for so many years (he was also in Inside Information and Some Kinda Voodoo). In fact, he’s visiting me this coming weekend!

Changed the way I played guitar* Steelhorse - Rock covers (no, really? ) Thin White Duke - Bowie tribute Some Kinda Voodoo - Blues band, pretty good IMO, videos from the Jagger Centre are out there on YT Road Dog Jackson - Typical pub covers band (Mustang Sally, Sweet Home Alabama, Get It On - check; groan) DiamondHearts - ‘80s covers, best band I’ve ever been in, only stopped due to Covid and house moves, much missed Heartfakers - Tom Petty tribute, still going without me (I moved house/location) * I played guitar in these bands

I'm going to be of no help here as I like both in equal measure. Black = "Pay attention, I'm all business," pearl = "Look at me, I'm pretty," (and it is).

It was very nice. I sold it back to the guy I bought it off. The colour was great, green or blue depending on the light. The only bass I regret selling.

The ‘Rays I have owned over the years… 1. USA SUB, 2. ‘Ray 5 in trans teal (should never have sold that), 3. Egyptian Smoke 3 band, 4. Sterling ’Ray SS (current squeeze) & 5. early run Sterling’Ray35. My favourites of the above have been the ones that will run in serial (1, 2 & 4).
