    In the last few days I've tried to buy 2 EUBs, both from a well known retailer. Both of the items, although on their website, were already sold. Who knew it would be so difficult to spend money?

      I started with a Stagg EUB that they had advertised for not much but, as that was sold apparently, they suggested a KK Baby Bass. That was 3 times as much, but after to listening to various clips and some internal debate, I decided to go for it - already sold. :facepalm:

    I saw this and thought the pickup was bit too far towards the neck, the 32” doesn’t look as far forward, although I’m not mad about the finishes on either.

    I bought my one very early on in their all too brief history. I eventually had it converted to fretless by The Gallery (cracking job they did too) before moving it on in favour of 5 strings. Of course, I’m Mr 4 Strings again now .

    IIRC, the original SUB ‘Rays were wired in series, mine was certainly rather aggressive sounding. The paint on the neck wore down and became sticky, but I stripped it off and oiled it and it was much better. The slab body was surprisingly comfortable and although I found the bass bass to be quite weighty, it balanced beautifully on a strap and seemed lighter because of that.
