  1. I have the smaller version of this and, "Very solid and high quality," is an understatement. GLWTS.
  2. A great live album.
  3. A 50th birthday party at a venue that we’ve played previously. A slow start as folk were really just wanting to chat and catch up, all the dancing took place within our last 20 minutes or so. Not happy with the set up as the keyboard player and drummer took up all the rear space and I had to have my rig right next to me, up front. Needless to say, I could barely hear anything that close, just a bassy flub (it sounded good out front during soundcheck), which I don’t like and I have raised this as an issue going forward. Folk came up and said how good we were and deserved more audience participation, but I know that it was a sub par performance, again and that, if they thought that was good, my previous bands would have blown them away. I miss the technical and professional abilities of those guys.
  4. Red ones are now temporarily out of stock (BC bought up the stock probably ), blonde ones available for £285; very tempted.
  5. I hate it when they use rock stars to sell cleavages. Subtle it ain’t. I quite like the tune though.
  6. You were warned . Welcome to the club.
  7. And it's been released https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-66720789 . Charlie on 2 tracks, Steve Jordan on the rest.
  8. That is marvellous and Ox-tastic! Make that statement and make it loud 🤘.
  9. Yes, that Retrovibe caught my eye too and had to find it using the filters, as I had the same redirect to a Cort.
  10. Time of the year I think, folk are trying to squeeze the last out of the summer and with the upturn in the weather, this effect is amplified. September onwards will hopefully see a return to better turnouts.
  11. I’ve used EBS chs and 8ve pedals with fretless for decades, never found them wanting.
  12. Children of the Grave - Sabbath
  13. Jump up and down, whilst shouting, “RESULT!”
  14. You are correct, Sir. An area of overlap does the trick, it did for me at least.
  15. A good connection with the control plate will work.
  16. Making sure it’s connected to earth is key.
  17. A proper bit of shielding and they’re as silent as the grave. I should say, any shielding, as, other than the control plate, there isn’t any at all, which is poor.
  18. Less Than Zero - Elvis Costello
  19. Toothpicks FTW here. If you break/cut it and insert the wider end in first, you compensate for the screw taper. If it’s very loose, then 2 may be required.
  20. They are insidious wee things, I reckon they're laced with crack or heroin in the nitro. My poor old custom basses don't get a look in and I find myself wondering about selling them .
