  1. This was originally mine and had all the mods done professionally. It’s a stunner and is pro in nature.
  2. I’ve played Yamaha and Ampeg for around 35 years but to illustrate my point. In the 80s when I was growing up as a bass player, i played around 20 fender basses before choosing the right fit for me. This was because some were crap, some were mediocre and some were brilliant - in my view - this to me was individual character. Ampeg are exactly the same. As a 6 time owner of SVT 3pros, each had its own character from, US to Korean to Vietnamese to Chinese. However, of all the Yamaha basses I’ve owned, BB1600, BB424/425, BB714, BBG5, BB604, TRBX5, TRB5, Yamaha Attitude Se, LTD mk1 & mk2, they have all been exactly as specified and perfectly manufactured right down to the point where each lacked the individual character of old Fender basses of which, Yamaha copied beautifully. 😎🥳 And now that Yamaha own Ampeg, Ampeg equipment will be meticulously reproduced to ensure they are all of the same quality. I own my now 7th SVT-3pro and it’s perfect. The warranty supplied by Yamaha ensures my satisfaction.
  3. Love Ampeg! The huge gain in quality control will ultimately mean a loss in character. Yamaha are so precise in their quality control and are second to no one! However, Yamaha manufacture their equipment to the nth degree of perfection and unfortunately for Ampeg in my opinion, will lose that ingrained character Ampeg has so readily on offer when you switch on an amp. Ampeg will though, through Yamaha, become an international powerhouse again.
  4. Using my BV1001T during practice at Pirate Studios, it’s been coupled with an 8ohm Ashdown ABM 4x10 and have to say, it’s monstrous!
  5. Stoked my curiosity on that 🤪 https://ultimateclassicrock.com/doors-bass-players/
  6. I did check for a link as in Behringer/Music Tribe: https://community.musictribe.com/ but Warwick is not part of it. However, those two amps are incredibly alike in layout. Very curious indeed! Could be that like Cort manufacture for various instrument companies, Music Tribe do similar for others.
  7. You could be forgiven for suggesting the TC Bam and Warwick Gnome are one and the same thing!
  8. For my last two practices, I’ve used the 1001t with an Ashdown ABM 410 and man did they pair up beautifully! I have my channel volume full, gain around half, master at 3 and it sounds monstrous. What a combination.
  9. TC Electronic are an excellent company producing really cool bass equipment. I have a TC Bam, BH250, BC208 cab (10.4kg) and an assortment of their pedals of which, are all excellent given their modest cost.
  10. TC electronic has: https://www.tcelectronic.com/product.html?modelCode=P0CQS
  11. Don’t forget the Bugera BV1001t 🤪
  12. It’s very true, the LH series of amps are phenomenal in terms of tone, power, user friendliness, simplicity and price.
  13. I can use it so, anyone can as is that easy. Power on, channel gain & volume and then volume = simple monster.
  14. Cannot see past the Bugera BV1001t for £279.
  15. No accounting for taste mate 👍😍
  16. I’m not on Facebook anymore but there are quite a few members from England on the Attitude page who may be in your vicinity and could possibly assist with this. Be worth a look 👀
  17. The attitude has the biggest neck I’ve ever played on a four string bass. My mk2 is 23 years old, still looks new and sits in a case under my bed unused. Just can get my hands round the neck.
  18. Trace V4 for me. The 3 non pro is very cool 😎
  19. The 3-Pro comes close but just does not have the thunderous presence of the CL.
  20. I have a sea foam green mk2, wanted black though.
  21. The attitude mk1s came in two colours, thunder blue and lightening red. Billy’s sig BB was a custom 3000 in rose blue. But yeah, either way, awesome colours.
  22. It looks like a mk1 attitude body with a mk2 neck so, the colour would be thunder blue. Lighting changes the way it looks.
  23. Every bass player needs to experience a classic and 8x10 cab as part of our apprenticeship and appreciation of power 👍
  24. Could easily be the case. Lots of it on TV.
