1.
Lemmy's main replacement, Alan Davy (was in band 1984-96 and 2000-07) is no slouch either. He is very similar in style to the Space Ritual-era Lammy and is at his best on the album 'Electric Tepee' (check out 'Sputnik Sam'). Well worth checking out too IMHO. He now fronts a hard rock trio called Gunslinger who are in the same genre as Motorhead
+1 Great album is Electric Tepee. 'Right to Decide' is another corker off that albam, Alan Davey really drives it along. My favourite Hawkwind bass player was Harvey Bainbridge though.
2. Bumping the Bassballs!
3. *SOLD* 2 x tickets for Wilko Johnson (Dr. Feelgood) with Norman Watt-Roy (Blockheads) @ Thunderbolt (Bristol) , Sat 22nd May. Can't go as I've double booked myself, got a dep gig that night. It will be a cracking gig with these two legends at this great little intimate venue - gutted I'm gonna miss it! This gig will undoubtably sell out. £25 ono for the pair. Which is what I paid myself inc. booking fee etc Can deliver tickets if required in Bristol area. Please PM me if interested. Thanks
4. *Sold - Pending Payment* Gould 'Non-Reverse' Thunderbird Copy Bought this a short while ago on a whim, wanting to try something different from the usual P-Basses. Alas, I've realised I'm not a Thunderbird kinda guy. Two soapbar pickups, two volume & one tone with set-neck. Sunburst finish, with a minty-green-white vintage style scratchplate. In quite good condition, no noticeable dinks or scratches, but there is a slight knock to the underside of the headstock tip (as shown in photo). The bass sounds OK, plays alright, neck is a bit on the chunkyside - it is a bit of a beast of a bass! Don't know much about the manufacturer, found a review here , though it's not made in Japan as reviewer states, presume China or Indonesia is more likely. The guitar version of this does bear a striking resemblance to an Eastwood Stormbird, so who knows(?) £85 ono + £15 P&P. Local collection OK. Please PM me if interested. Thanks
5.
Is this still available?
Had a few enquiries, but yes still available!
6.
hi can you tell me what the difference in sound is of the Russian Bass Balls compared to the US one? ta
If I'm honest I'm not sure, as I've only briefly tried a USA one - dunno sorry!
7. *SOLD* Pending Payment EHX (Russian) Bassballs - Twin Dynamic Filter In good working condition, no scratches - built like a tank. Was going to mod it, but realised it's not for me - just too damn funky! Sold with paperwork & the nice wooden box that came with the Sovteks. £35 + £7 P&P (it's heavy with the box!). Collection is OK. Please PM me if interested. Thanks
8. Bumpty-Bump With price reduction!
9. *sold* Electro Harmonix EHX Mini Qtron A great funky filter, cool retro looking. Bought this on a whim a short while ago, but I've already got the bigger older standard Qtron model, so it's surplus to my needs. EHX Mini Qtron info here EHX Mini Qtron reviews here In good condition, few light surface scratches. 10. Love this. Bab Babbitt on the bass(?)
11. I go for all controls flat on my TE V-Type (at 12'oclock) - perfect for me. If I really need to cut through, there's a push-pull upper-mids boost on the mid control - Like a kick in the chest!
12.
fancy a trade on eh bassblogger??
Thanks for the offer, but I'm pretty much happily sorted on the distortion/fuzz side of things.
13. I've got one of these. It's a great cab, punchy as hell & fills the room!
14. *SOLD* Digitech Bad Monkey overdrive Bass modded for better low end. Lot of love for these pedals. Great for 'warming' things up, getting old school tones, particularly with a S/S amp. In good condition, no scratches, chips etc - velcro underneath, for attaching to pedalboard. Gonna miss this, but with having a valve amp, I'm not using it. Plus, getting rid of it will force me to finish off the Bassdrive clone I've been sitting on for ages. [s]£30[/s] £25 + £4 postage. Local collection OK. Please PM me if interested. Cheers
15.
I wish I had waited now and not got the Lomenzo Hyperdrive Interested in any trades?
I might be, though I can't think of anything I need at the moment. Got too many effects as it is - hence me selling a few of them. What do you have? I might be tempted!
16.
does this need the 18 v charger or just the standard 9v? cheers
Yeah, it's 9volt. Bump-time!
17. Boss CS-3 Compressor with 'Humphrey' Mod. Neatly done by myself as per Ovnilab instructions. Review & Info here This is like a different pedal - greatly improved. Unfortunately, don't have any soundclips, but hopefully this youtube clip I've found of CS-3 with the same mod, will give some idea of what it sounds like. Full refund if buyer doesn't like it! My reason for selling is that I have two & don't need a spare Pedal itself is in very good condition, no chips etc... with only a tiny hairline scratch beneath the Attack control (as in photo). Comes with original box & documentation. £45 + £4 postage. Local collection OK. Please PM me if interested. Thanks Nick
18.
+1, DI box. Either just a full on DI or a DI combination pedal like Sansamp.
Same here, though it's one of those Behringer copies. I do carry spares, though if anything did blow or went wrong etc, I doubt I'd have time to fix or diagnose the problem.

21. Look like Webstrings Detroit Flats to me. I've had sets with gaps in windings before - good flats.
