2.
Cheers buddy, got a great sound, would love to get one one day if the price was right
...lovely to play too, the neck on my 1980 Marathon is something else
3. Still available, free to collector.
4. There are tons of fuzz pedals that provide synthy tones.... I've used a Woolly Mammoth (clone) which is pretty much based on Fuzz Face circuit. Had good results from a MK1 Marshall Guvnor too. http://bassfuzz.com/ is a good resource.
5. Another Hola & welcome, Barcelona is a wonderful city, one of my favourites - visiting again in two weeks. If you suffer from GAS, Basschat will not help! Cheers Nick
6. *Gone - Mods please remove. Thanks Clearing out my garage.... Couple of hard cases free to anybody who wants them. In OK condition, previously used to carry P-Bass', so guess would also fit a wide variety of other models, Jazz etc.... Small donation to BC would be nice, but in no way obligatory. Collection Bristol/Bath area, sorry no postage on these. Thanks Nick
7.
Yep proper mental this. IBTL!

I'm going to stop adding to this thread now as the more I've read on his site I'm starting to find it all a little mad and sad.
I'm sorry to spoil the 'fun', but some of the comments on this thread are verging on cyber bullying IMHO. Joking aside, from the guy's website, it's fairly obvious that he's got some 'issues'. Would it be just as acceptable to take the piss out of someone posting an ad on here, if they had any other illness?
8. I would suggest trying a Zeibek / Electronix submarine or a SFX Big Beautiful Bass (B[sup]3[/sup]).Both are based on Kruezer bass preamp circuit. I use a Submarine clone. It's not a drastic effect, really just brings in some low mid & warms the tone up a bit - makes my bass sound 'sweeter' to my ears
9.
George Murray and Dennis Davis
+1. Bowie's best rhythm section IMHO Also Alan Spenner & Andy Newmark - Roxy Music (80-83)
10. I like d'Addario Chromes on my Dearmond Starfire, they sound good & feel nice to me, though take a while to play in tonally IMO. Status also do short scale flats in 40-100 & 45-105. Not tried their 30" scale sets, but had a set of 45-105 on my P-Bass for last couple of years - nice old school thumpy tones.
11. New Year'S, back to work bump!
12. Bump for the 'batmobile bass' & price reduction, before it hits the 'bay!
13.
I can't do an EB-0 but I've got an Epiphone Thunderbird IV that I'm interested in trading for something fretless if that would be of interest?
Hi Neil, thanks for the trade offer, but unfortunately I can't get on with the T-Bird shape - sorry.
14. Paul bought a P-Retro off me. Good guy to do business with - prompt payment, good coms & no messing about. Recommended. Thanks Nick
15. Merry Christmas type bump Could also be open to possible trades & P/X - WHY? Though I can't think of much off top of my head that I'd like at the moment.... maybe with cash adjustment on a Danelectro Longhorn... Boss RC20XL or an Epiphone EB-0 in Pelham blue
16. Festive Bump with a couple of additional close-up photos
17.
Is the blazer sold now?
Would be very surprised if it wasn't!
18. Mods could you please remove post - sale now on ebay Vox 'White Shadow' Custom Fretless 1985, made in Japan (Matsumoko). In good condition - but not mint, there a couple of small smarks, though quite minor & nothing really noticeable. Two jazz type pickups, with balance, volume & tone controls. Two octave, 24 fret (if it had any! ) neck Fretboard in very good condition, as can be seen in photo no wear at all, no score marks etc.... Currently strung with rounds, though I would put a set of half-wounds on it & set it up to suit if I was keeping it. Bought this on a whim, but as I already have an old Ibanez fretless which I'll always keep & don't play enough - so this has to go. £150 (inc. P&P) Please PM me if interested. Thanks Nick

21.
£65 - got to be a great deal!
Have a bump.... These are great cabs. Had one myself until quite recently, was very happy with it, & only shifted it on because I'd acquired a Barefaced 'Compact'. A lot of cab for not much money - somebody should snap this up for the price.
22. Also Manchester's 'The Creamery' http://www.at-the-creamery.co.uk/custom-handwound-pickups-from-the-creamery/scatterwound-bass-pickups.html Cheers
23.
Henry Olsen was my favourite Primal Scream bass player, had a bit of class
Me too. He had a cool stage presence & very in the pocket playing.
24. Really digging this 1973 album a friend made me aware of by Lea Roberts. Phenomonal bass playing on this track. Enjoy! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wSl5-Y8ROx0
