1.
Taking a trip towards Somerset anytime?
I have someone coming over tomorrow to try it. I am however traveling down to Devon next Friday afternoon.
2. I want to make a stencil to spray the logo onto the side of my Jaydee case. Does anyone have a largish copy of the logo that they can email me please ?
3.
It's a Series II - the pic of the back is a giveaway, with that elongated profile.
Yeah, I'd agree with that. The Series II's are quite a bit slimmer at the waist than the I's and III's. There's also the age of it, the II's were introduced in 1983 or thereabouts.
4. One is a Peavey and is OK, the other doesn't appear to have a name, but is actually rather good. They came with basses that I bought recently, and are in the way. Both are in virtually new/new condition. £25 posted.
5. I have two of these in good/excellent condition. £8.50 posted or both for £15.
6. I keep buying straps, one day I'll find one that I get on with. This is classed as a short one. I dread to think what a long one would be like, because this to me at least is enormous, way too long. It came on Saturday morning from the very brilliant Stringsdirect. It has been used for about 2 minutes, so it is 'new'. I'd like £25, which will include 1st class postage.
7. I think my next bass is going to be a fretless Roadie. Bump for a cool bass.
8. Nice bass. I don't know, I go away from home for the weekend, and there's a veritable plethora of Jaydee's for sale when I return.
9. Just photocopy the pages and tape them together. Both my stands have bits that extend outwards, they're very cheap to buy. If you can't do that just practice playing while turning the pages. Fold the top corner of the 2nd page inwards to make page turning easy. Read through the pages beforehand, there may be a section towards the end where it's easier to turn that actually waiting to come to the end. Mark that section (in pencil) 'turn page'. If you're reading hired parts, then there will probably be hand written notes giving tips.
10.
Wish I wasn't saving for a status I would love this....your only down the road too :/ x
A Status would sound 'right' somehow played through this . I could deliver to Rugby, free of charge.

14. They'll take a lot more than 200 watts. Mark King used two with his AH500.
15. This is in excellent condition, pretty much like new. It's a green carpet covered cab, with an adjustable tweeter. I've bought an older green Tolex model, so this is going to be in the way. I live in Birmingham, but I am traveling around a bit in the next few weeks, so I can meet. £125 collected from Birmingham, or I can meet.
16. I had an Alembic SC model a few years back. I emailed Alembic with the serial number and they told me everything there was to know about the bass - the year it was made, who it was made for (the Basscentre), what woods etc. To be honest, the construction of these, as with Wal, Jaydee, Fodera etc is top notch. You'd be able to spot a fake pretty easily I think. The Epic like all Alembic's are great instruments. I think that the serial number suggests that it's a 1995 model.
17.
Bump for thread hijack!....
SELL ME YOUR HEAD
18. To keep the thread going, here's my latest addition. It's a 1987 Series 3. It is in absolutely amazing condition....it's 24 years old ! It's also still got the Basscentre sticker on the back of the neck too. The sound is amazing. I used it on a session with a Jazz trombone player on Tuesday evening. He's a very picky player, but loved the way it sounded. It just goes to show the versatility of these instruments, they're not all 'slap and pop'.
19.
If it's any consolation nobodys wanting to buy my amp either. Good luck!
I'd buy the head and 2x10 .
20. String spacing plays a huge role in the 'perfect' 6 string bass. I didn't get on with the Overwater that I had, the 19mm spacing was too wide. My Zon has 16.5mm as does my Jaydee Calibas, they're amazing to play.
