Not so much, I'm considered a gear freak with my peers I see at gigs and love discussing pedals and amps and that, get asked for advice, so rather than belittle fellow bassists we just chat stuff, I don't really mind what you play as long as it's cool. I see more snobbery on here tbh, glass backs and in ear peddlers. ooerr controversial

Barefaced Price Increase - Are They Still Worth It?
Stofferson replied to Ultima2876's topic in Amps and Cabs
Quick look on the site, not increased that much, but as Merton says, just the way of the world at the moment, still amazing cabs. -
Nice! In my local final this year so hopefully I'll be there in the August.

ABM 600 - Barefaced four10 and two10, I can modulate cabs for size of the gig and the Bf 10's are ideal for me. I like to feel the bass behind me, so I like a powerful rig, I take a DI out the head post EQ so the desk gets what the cabs get and the sound guy can fart about with it, on some larger gigs with a decent set up and soundcheck time, I've took a feed out the a parallel out on my pedalboard into a HX stomp running 2 cab sims also to desk, give the engineer a good mix of that and the DI from the ABM. two10 for small gigs / rehearsal four10 for everyday/most gigs stack em up for the bigger gigs. I don't tend to wander far, so I get my monitoring from the cabs and reserve the monitors in front for Guitar/Vocals/drum feeds etc. Suits me and I don't think I'll ever veer to far away from that, aside from maybe a purchasing an IR loaded for ease instead of also taking a HX stomp in addition to usual stuff.

Man I haven't broken that beast out this side of the apocalypse, that being said I could put some words together

I whole heartily agree. I went through several class D amps and all failed in some way, either over heating, poor volume or just plain rubbish. ABM 600 now for the past 3/4 years doesn't weigh a ton and tone and power for days. Horses for courses I know, and everyone of us has a different idea of what they need, but I need loud and reliable and that's what my amp gives me

There's an EQ off and on and the shape button, which button do you mean dude? The shape button applies a heavy scooping, but either in or out the bass control still works, EQ off, is literal everything off. As for line in, never used mine, maybe one to email Ashdown about?

Drunk people isn't the issue, that's fine, them songs though . . . *shudders*

Gigged solidly (2/3 times a week) a for a good 6 years up to the Pandemic, band split over lockdown so formed a new one from scratch this time last year. Wrote and recorded an album by June, started gigging in August, managed around 13 gigs between then and Christmas. Got a decent calendar for the summer, all originals. I love gigs, I hate driving, parking, loading in and out, waiting around, watching a band eat in to your set time haha. I wouldn't change anything though.

Until quite recently I missed the first N in Bergantino, For a while I always thought it was "Burger- teeno" Damn brain

Kma Tyler Deluxe Frequency splitter Excellent condition with box. £200 posted UK mainland. Blerb . . The heart of the pedal is still the same essential filter sections, which splits your signal into different loops with HIGH PASS and LOW PASS paths both filters have a 12 dB/oct. roll-off with a variable cut-off frequency from 20 Hz to 3 kHz). The rest of the vital tonal organs have had a thorough upgrade, which has resulted in an improved noise floor too. So, let’s dive into everything that makes this pedal DELUXE. Since the original TYLER was also used as an advanced AB/Y box by many, it was found that ground loops could occur - no more with TYLER DELUXE! Both SENDs are now transformer coupled (with TRIAD Magnetics) to give you a nice and warm saturation, while avoiding ground-loops (internal slide-switched ground-lift). To be prepared for almost every situation and every pedal, both loops also got their own phase inversion switch (+/-) to get rid of potential unwanted phase cancelation. The next new must-have feature is there to ensure the transparency of your setup and because we know it's important to you and to us, we added the good old CLEAN blend. So far so good, but the deluxe delights don’t stop here! A master phase-switch ensures a fixed and reliable interaction with your set filter-frequency in every situation, no matter if you either have a loop engaged or not. But wait, for all of you who wants to follow TYLER's evolution, we added another claimed feature. The LP-CUT and HP-CUT switches will now mute your loops when bypassed, which will give you tons of new options to be creative, by only using the engaged loops without having clean artefacts pass through when disengaging one of the loops. Modern times brings modern needs, so TYLER DELUXE is now equipped with relay-based soft-switches, an internal step-up to increase the headroom for hotter input signals and low-noise op-amps to improve the overall sound-quality and usability. Some examples of use: Bass players want to retain their low end while using their favourite fuzz or dirt pedal. Insert your dirt box in the highpass FX-Loop and adjust the cut-off frequency of the High and Low Pass to your needs. Dial in your preferred ratio of those Low and High Pass signals, engage the STEEL footswitch and you will never turn off TYLER again! You can also insert different modulation pedals, for example insert a lush phaser for the lows and a nice shimmering delay for the highs and TYLER will make it sound like two different guitars are playing at once. Mix up your modulation pedals with any dirt pedals, for a very pronounced and punchy sound all coming from one amp. If there ever was a Swiss army knife for your tone, then TYLER DELUXE must surely be it. So, fire up your frequency saw and start defining your own unique sonic path. Powered by an optional standard 9V DC (max.) PSU (negative center, 2.1mm, approx. 100mA current draw)
