  1. Up for a trade? P bassy style Bonus points for reverse p
  2. Thanks mate, you never know, dreams may come true!
  3. +1 with @Kev Chris is one of the best. I took delivery of my first Alpha in Feb last year and a few months later commished another one! Can't add much more than what Kev has put, but you'll discuss and be informed every step of the way! I've asked for some "different" stuff on this new build, and he went out and got samples and showed me how it looked, it's that attention to detail and service you will get. Enjoy, the waiting is the hard part!
  4. For sale, excellent condition. TWA Krytical Mass. Brassmaster style Fuzz with more than most! Huge sounding with plenty on tap. More tonal variations than other Brassmaster fuzzes in the market. Huge low end and gain on tap, all important clean blend and various 2 lpf's and a hpf for tones, choice of 3 position mids. Edge to add in some top end, bias to get those sputtering synth like sounds, phase inverter to take some low end out if gets too boomy, this can go loud! Web schpiel: Prepare for meltdown with the TWA KM-01 Krytical Mass®! Based on the coveted Maestro Bass Brassmaster, Krytical Mass® was born from exhaustive critical analysis into the inner workings of that Holy Grail device and the few noble attempts that have been made to clone it. Krytical Mass® spits out fat, formidable fuzz with a pronounced octave up as well as a more subtle octave down and a scorching, filter-like sweep on sustained notes. Muted notes will “kill” the fuzz with almost gate-like precision, yielding a super-tight, synth-like pulse that is simply addictive to play. Where other replicas tend to be harsh and sterile sounding, Krytical Mass® is able to capture the aggressive yet warm & organic edge of the original Brassmaster using a unique complement of EQ and voltage manipulation controls. One of the great mysteries of the Brassmaster is its unmarked transformer and how it was wound. Analysis suggests that this component may have actually been wired with negative polarity, so Krytical Mass® includes a switch to toggle between positive & negative phase wirings for additional tonal options. Another unique feature of Krytical Mass® is the ability to adjust the symmetry of the transformer to taste, accentuating either 2nd order harmonics for more lows or higher-order harmonics for more complex waveform content. Also on board are selectable HP, LP and BP filters with adjustable midrange to fine-tune Krytical Mass® to your particular tonal tastes. Fuzz sensitivity of Krytical Mass® can also be controlled via external EXP pedal for dynamic manipulation of the fuzz to create synth-like drive swells and other interesting effects.

I switched to flats about 9 years ago (I play a Stingray, very bright). I sometimes put rounds on for about 5minutes but I almost immediately get tired of the metallic ping and want to sound like a bass again.

  8. Hi, I think so, I'll double check in the morning!
  9. Would an xlr summing box work, they're relatively inexpensive, and if you have two di's as is, I assume its xlr? https://www.thomann.co.uk/millenium_sml_21.htm?gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=1581403918&gbraid=0AAAAADuDMCU57eHmqef_rUhCGUicqqn-x&gclid=CjwKCAiAu67KBhAkEiwAY0jAlRdiNhOQNn9T7tm_T-zUQaP6qsRpFvsjZycqOZtSTa6cbfErjWwbhhoC5wEQAvD_BwE

#2 son just got his sorted at long last and moved in a month ago at a similar age. Eye watering, but he's on the ladder and shouldn't need to move for a few years now.

  11. Not doom, more stoner and other things, we play in Eb standard! Syncolima example tune
  12. Bump it down to £800 if anyone is willing to take this beast on.
  13. Scale length from the brass nut to the bridge is coming in at 36" I did not realise this! Currently has some old elixirs on and kept it's tuning in Eb standard At that length I'm sure it'll handle some hardcore down tuning Truss moves and is bang on Just going back through the build notes there are carbon supports in the neck also. Bathroom scales it's coming in at bang on 5kg As I said, it's a monster, it's an absolute beautiful monster
  14. Apologies, I'm not photographer, cannot get good lighting in my house Doubled checked the nut and it's 41.5mm 21 frets

  16. It is time I start preparing my mind, body and wallet for a mortgage with that in mind, I regretfully place this absolute unit up for sale. Commissioned this around 10 years ago and took delivery on my 30th birthday June 2017. I've barely touched it in the last few years and its not been out on a gig since way before covid. Thunderbird styling with jazz pickup. Body is a piece of figured white ash with a trans black stain Maple Neck with Wenge fingerboard 41.5mm nut width EMG J pickups with VVT Black Schaller Bridge Black Clover tuning pegs. 34 inch scale. Heavy duty flight case Its solid, it is not light weight. Plays and sounds like a hot jazz bass on sunset strip. More info to come, any questions welcome Unsure how to price this, so please get in touch. .
  17. Looks like AI spurted out the guitar size here, either that or its one of those Uke basses
  18. Yeah, nah, wouldn't want to associate anyone with any vile views. Bad enough at work, even the nice old lady who runs the canteen has started sharing the "usual" shut the borders etc memes. Certainly don't want that crap in my personal / social life. I do see members of bands / bands called out on such things too, so I've seen it happen, a drummer from some band was pictured at a far right rally, which was picked up on and shared about. Needless to say, I don't think he'll get much gig work now
