  1. Cracking bass these and this is a very good price! I had the 4 string version and it really made me lust for a 5er but now I own a Ritter and I am broke - no coincedence!
  2. sorry but there are a lot of details and questions surrounding the info he has posted, I stand by what I posted - I only highlight it to be helpful to the seller
  3. Hi your advert doesn't make much sense as it states "your choice of..." which means it doesn't actually specify what the specification of your bass actually is! Also with no photos and no mention of your location or if you will ship you really aren't helping your cause which may go a long way to explaining why you haven't sold it yet when you have had it listed for over a year.
  4. wow that really is a very special bass! Cant believe that is birdseye maple - I have never seen so a piece with so much figuring or that big before! Love the look of the neck too - Warwick really have done an exceptional job on this one!
  5. Love me a bit of zebrano! how does it play and sound?
  6. that is incredible!!! what top wood is that? can we have some more photos please inc the back!
  7. Well to be fair you will only get that level if you use them properly and in my experience very few people know how to use ear plugs properly...
  8. That one doesn't look quite as bad - the shape of the plate is much more sympathetic and uniform when compared to the body shape.... And remember I am a huge fan of Ritters, even more so now that i am lucky enough to own one, so I don't make these criticisms lightly.
  9. 32dB attentuation, 50 pairs for £8.00 and a name you can trust: https://www.screwfix.com/p/dewalt-dpg12bg50-32db-foam-ear-plugs-50-pairs/3650p Very comfy too - I wear a pair to bed every night
  10. Or you could use something that was designed specifically to clean and nourish wood like lemon oil: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Parker-Bailey-Natural-Lemon-Oil-Furniture-Guitar-Fretboard-Cleaner-and-Polish/182994307206?epid=6007038582&hash=item2a9b4f8886:g:en0AAOSwd7BZpT82 You can find smaller and cheaper sizes but this will last you a few years and doesnt expire...
  11. You could almost say it was this basses Achilles'.... Assuming you could find a brown paper bag to cover up the rest of the bass...
  12. Exactly! Chiropractors are your friends when your back isnt. I've been down this road myself already and they really do work wonders and if you can, try to arrange for a sports massage once the chiro has done their part as your muscles will have been working overtime to try and support your back whilst your spine hasn't been fully up to the task. Expect a lot of knots and tightness in your muscles that will need to be redressed by someone who knows what they are doing. Fixing your back is not a quick or easy process and not is it cheap, but it's your back FFS and when it's not working properly all the money you've saved not visiting a chiro won't do you any good whatsoever!
  13. Great price for an incredible bass.
  14. Me too, truly incredible and very fluid. Bass sounds great too! GLWTS
  15. I know the string spacing isn't ideal but it's 32" and very lightweight and I can personally recommend it 😁
  16. Sorry but that is a rather ugly backside. Can't help but feel that Jens could have done a lot more to improve the look of that. First step would have been to dye the whole backside black to make the aluminium plate less obvious as well as the transition between body and plate also less obvious. The shape of the plate is just really odd too. No doubt it probably matches the shape that was hollowed out but the plate could have been extended to match the complete body shape to make it more aesthetically pleasing. Just my 2 cents sorry...
  17. Sounds fantastic. Excuse my ignorance but is that you playing? If so, very impressive!
  18. What a beauty! How does it sound? How thick is the body?
  19. Yeah it had potential but is poorly executed. The heel of the neck is near the 12th fret FFS so good luck finding anything comfortable to play above that position.
  20. Hi Jerry sorry for the late reply. I wouldn't say acoustic - hard to describe exactly but if you watch this clip it will give you a feel for the tone of these basses:
  21. Ok so it's more gormless than fretless but for the money it will probably sound bloody good if you can live with the looks...
  22. Lucky for me it's a bit of a minger 😆
  23. Does this count? My gorgeous Ale Antia semi hollowbody 32"
  24. Thanks. It certainly isn't ugly, just a little more plain compared to some of the Ritters I've seen. I've never heard such a resonant instrument though. Playing unplugged you are still well aware this is a very special instrument. My only gripes are the lower horn isn't 100% comfortable whilst sitting, the ball end retainers are not the best design as the strings run over the wood where they exit towards the bridge. However, even in passive mode you have more than enough tones to suit most needs. Bring the EQ in, especially with the sweepable mids, and you will never want for another bass again - unless of course it is another Ritter!! Btw, which Dolphin did you own? If it is a pro 1 then it is pretty much the only Warwick model I haven't owned that I actually lust after!
