  1. Hariprasad Chaurasia..Indian bamboo flute supremo early April. ..he was part of one of John McLaughlin's later Shakti line ups.
  2. Just brilliant. I use to listen to this type of fusion back in the late 70's...reminds me very much of some old Lee Ritenour albums I've got. I'd love to buy some these guys music assuming they've recorded something. Just fan.
  3. Such a fantastic bass. A really great array of tones...and so gorgeous to behold. I own a fretless one and very nearly sold it. Tbh I'm glad it didn't sell..I think I would have regretted it. These are special basses...I would reconsider.
  4. Its Burke's birthday today.. Happy birthday to a great bass player, whose bass lines with Budgie were a great inspiration to me when I was starting out. Any other fans here?
  5. Hahaha...that's brilliant.. Love it!! I'm taking the advice of Silverfoxnik..and hanging onto this beauty. Tough luck guys..you had your chance.
  6. Thanks. Posted now in discussion.!!!!!!!!
  7. Good morning BC'ers. I am a huge fan , and great admirer of a legendary British bassist, who has been around for years, is unique as a player, really innovative... but never gets mentioned in this forum. I'm referring to Colin Hodgkinson. Any other Colin & Back Door fans here??

  9. Thanks. The bass came with some fairly heavy gauge and quite old flat wounds on it, that I don't like. But I've just bought some light tension labella deep talkin' black nylon strings, ..I think this will transform it. I have about 7 different fretless's including a Le Fay Remington Steel they are all fabulous in their own right. But the feel of the neck on this one is very special. I love the Di marzios and the pre amp & switching options, and to be totally candid I think people are being stupid by not buying this bass..just as I now begin to realise that I am being stupid selling this bass...no need really because I have enough money for my motorbike now. I'll be withdrawing it in the next few days...tough luck fellas...stick to your cookie cutter " jazz bass in CAR" overpriced nonsense.
  10. What a fabulous bass.
  11. Aah well. I've done my best. I'll give it 1 more week. I've just bought some Labella black nylons for it, I think that might unlock some mega goodness. Last chance folks. 1 week and then I'm withdrawing it...not unhappy either tbh.
  12. I want it. I'm gonna email him and ask the cost.
  13. Its a fully functional bass...the ebony fretboard is hard to see in that pic. I would LOVE to play it

  15. I would love this. Wanted one ever since seeing these guys..
  16. With the same pick ups, shape and good woods, the pertinent question must surely be why would anyone pay 2-3 times this price for a Warwick Thumb...what will it do better than this bass?.... that's the question on MY mind.
