  1. Still here, and looking sadly unplayed in the corner.
  2. Reformed by who? Labour have had a crack, as have the Tories. Your option to depoliticise it is a good one, and I think is probably only the reasonable solution. I worked with the NHS for several years and the idea that it’s overly bureaucratic and wasteful is nonsense. In fact, for many of the stretched staff (clinical and non-clinical) it’s offensive. People always complain be NHS is hugely wasteful but can never provide an example, aside from diversity officers.
  3. What's funny in the way this is portrayed is that these people are attacking us (the general public) when in most cases (railways, the NHS specifically) they're pushing to establish a service that's safe and fit for purpose. Nurses are warning that ongoing issues are affecting patient care. They're not holding us to ransom, they're trying to protect the UK's proudest acihevement.
  4. If you have to use the website, you can’t afford one! (Or something like that).
  5. Agreed. They do nothing for me either, but they’re one of the only builders that uses carbon.
  6. I second that about Squiers. I used to look down on them, but picked one up literally for nothing (as part of a job lot) and it’s amazing. Had to swap the pots but other than that, it’s banging.
  7. I’ve read this with interest. Nobody here would have an issue with this if it’s your bass that you play and love. The problem is, when you mess with the originality of the instrument, you dramatically effect the value. But you can’t seem to accept this. Leaving it unfinished suggests you’re either a poor craftsperson or you’re lazy. Neither of which encourage people to buy a £2k bass. This isn’t a personal attack on you, I’m sure you’re a good egg. But the Bongo 6 is already a niche instrument, and you’re limiting your market with these changes. Add on to that your attitude and it’s a hard sell. Happy Christmas, good luck with your sale, and I hope you can find someone that loves it as much as you do.
  8. Surely @BigRedXhas to chip in? Don’t Gus build some of the world’s best all carbon basses?
  9. These are exceptional amps. A lot of DB players use them.
  10. We had guests over and I cleaned out the spare room/music room and it’s looking good. I do not want to put this junk back in there, so offers please and I’ll post asap. 11. I had the same thing with a Warwick bass. Biggest gig of my life, and the Warwick messed it up. Nobody noticed of course, but I did. it’s also good to know that I’m not the only one that routinely packs two of everything (including amps!)
  12. Add into this “historic brand that was sold off cheaply to shareholders who made a huge profit and are now running the institution into the ground”
  13. Lovely fella, instant payment, no hassles and happy!
  14. I wish Santa would help me sell the last bits of gear that are clogging up my spare room. Don't need more, I need less!
  15. If you’re happy with neck-off delivery I can do the whole thing for £80 to your door.
  16. Now £75. These are great guitars when set up and played in (which this one is!).
  17. Boom. This is it. My brother used to work on reality TV shows (The Apprentice being the biggest one) and they used to spend hours setting up the spontaneous stuff, waivers, etc.
  18. Central banks raising interest rates is doing huge damage while in no way addressing the cause of runaway inflation. It's piling pain on top of pain for normal people and shows who the BOE thinks matters (it's not a normal person dutifully paying their mortgage, that's for sure).
