  1. If you don’t use something, why keep it? I realised when I sold the Bryant that it depressed me having it. Good for you Chris!
  2. Tim is a thoroughly lovely chap, I have used his services a few times and it has always been a pleasure.
  3. I've played one, but only once. It was(as youd expect) a beauty, although the neck got some getting used to! Of course, if the OP wants an electric bass, you can get a strap for the WAV and NS basses and play those like a normal electric bass. Use a good enough pre-amp and the results aren't bad!
  4. You're actually describing the Takamine TB10. This is essentially a crossover instrument (an EB with a DB radius) that you can play as an upright bass and as an electric one. They're not cheap, but they are cool. https://www.takamine.com/TB10 I don't think they're made anymore, and are expensive if you can find one.
  5. Any offers for this? I need it gone.
  6. It’s a 30 minute drive away, so I’ve not messaged him. Looks cool though!
  7. I’ve not bought a guitar this year. Always wanted to get one of these back after having one when I was 15. https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/740651201325905/?ref=category_feed
  8. Love these. Sold mine (naturally) but they were superb.
  9. I’m off to the post office tomorrow, best time to pick one of these up!
  10. Truly, mesmerisingly dull
  11. That’s true! I reckon we can easily do it.
  12. I reckon you and I should have our own battle Chris…
  13. This was what I was given. Pretty cool and retro.
  14. Thanks. Didn’t want to lose this early.
  15. Someone having a clear out has given me a Peavey guitar amp this morning. Is that OK?
  16. New year, new books! Any offers for these? Could do with the cash.
  17. I’m in. Let’s see how this goes…
  18. Plus postage, yes. will message you.
  19. It’s how the world should work! Just figuring out what’s going…
  20. I just realised how much time I was wasting buying stuff I didn’t want, need, or use. In the end, I found what I was chasing… This year I did 40 it more gigs plus about the same number of sessions with my old people’s group. It showed me I loved the playing, and massively helped me to focus on what I need and use and the stuff I don’t. The Bryant was something I loved but having it here was a constant reminder of my failings. So selling it to someone who now uses it every day has freed me of that. I’ve now sold everything I don’t use, given away guitars and instruments to friends, and now feel so much happier. Still got one last freebie listing to do at some point tomorrow and then it’s all gone. I’ve probably lost a fair few quid, but feel a million times better. I guess it’s the opposite of scamming people!
  21. This is the same for me. I’ve justified one mega purchase this year with my gig income. With all the gigs already booked it’ll pay itself off. That’s incredibly satisfying to know a £3,000 piece of gear will be earned through music.
  22. Have changed the title. I’ve been scammed before. Not on here, but by a few customers to my business. Its all based on trust and sometimes that goes too far. I’m done with online selling of instruments. It’s just too dangerous. It’s pickup all the way.
  23. It’s a shame but this sort of thing can happen with any mass produced instrument (or object). I had a vintage Telecaster where the truss rod broke (vintage shop value: £5000) I’m sure it’s covered by a warranty and hopefully it’s sorted soon and you’ll get back to playing!
