Burns-bass

I recently picked up a DB on here and the neck repair was fair clumsy, leaving a fairly large chunk out of the board. I’ve filled this with epoxy resin and the repair is solid and smooth, however the resin is dark grey rather than black. I’d like to find some way to finish it sympathetically, but stain won’t work as the resin isn’t porous. Any ideas? Did think a couple of coats of primer and then some matte acrylic paint could do the job?

Hi, no this is just for a DB!

Ig tot his from the kind @oldslapper but I've already got a stand and don't need it. Will take a picture later, but it's a handmade wooden DB stand that's function. Can be painted I guess and better than a big stand or laying the big dog on the floor. Pickup in Bristol etc.

Love this approach. I imagine my old DB tutor tearing his hair out (if he had any)

Usually account for a little spoilage in transit, but this seems pretty extreme!

That’s the truth! The reason is when you arch your neck to look at the dots you change your hand position. Much better to play with a drone or along with simple bass book recording to find yourself. To be honest, the pay is an in the first few positions anyway, so it shouldn’t take long… I’m not trying to encourage you to spend more cash, but WAZA air headphones work well for that purpose. A little too we’ll if I’m honest as it shows how useless I am!
