the light weight of the original Growler is good for me however previously I though only a heavy bass would sound "good"

1995-96 tobias Gibson growler Memphis Imo this has lower QC than the Arkansas version but the Bartolini electronics are incredibly versatile

2005 Gibson Tobias Growler (Arkansas) a well made instrument- I have read of Gibson being “sloppy” but this was top shelf. Sold to a guy with an original Tobias - and he loves it

still got my mid-90's Growler , a nice instrument. The electronics are amazing and it's the lightest bass I have ever owned. I think it was made on 1995/6 Bill Bartolini said they would never make the Growler electronics again. The Gibson Arkansas Growler's from approx 2005-7 were nice instruments but the original pick up models are an unique Bass
