  1. When I had Boss Limiters I put them at the end of the chain as well
  2. Thanks for answering that Luke. It’s been a question on both NZ guitars and TB appreciate it
  3. Yes previously I had a Wounded Paw Attack Goat which is a fuzz that is best with an envelope filter. I use the Battering Ram as a low OD mainly but it certainly can get very growls if required
  4. I think the Tech21 is the best chorus I have tried. It’s got a lot of different options as well. I don’t think they are made anymore. There’s also a Blue version but I don’t know if it’s the same tones
  5. This isn’t quite correct or settled but getting there. I do need to fit a Sadowsky Pre/DI on the end as well not sure if I like the new Diamond more than the old one
  6. The VCA compressor part is excellent. Drive is too fizzy/fuzzy for me Envelope Filter has a couple of majestic settings just takes a while to dial in and is fussy regarding different basses. Still a very good purchase
  7. I’ve got the Kinematic Dreadbox. It’s quite cool.
  8. Diamond BCP/EQ arrived yesterday Have only run it at 9v with flatwound strung basses but first impressions are good. The power requirements and smaller size are definitely upgrades on the old BCP-1. Does it sound better? Not sure yet
  9. Got an OC-2 last week. Quirky pedal but cool at a couple of things Hopefully gave the big board all hooked up at the end of next week
  10. Incoming pedals are SGFX Supa Funk Filter Boss OC-2 Diamond BCP/EQ please hurry up NZ Customs
  11. I really like this pedal. If you get a chance to try one then give it a go With an Optical Compressor in front or a VCA Compressor behind it can cover a lot of ground on different types of Basses I don’t believe it is “dark” but I definitely want low gain not fuzzy or fuzzy
  12. I’m in Aotearoa so trade postage might be a thing.
  13. I’ve got the Beta Germanium the Beta V is considerably better for me Flats or Rounds Active or Passive Fingers, Thumb Plectrum all useable. probably my favourite Is flats , precision with light drive
  14. It has arrived and first impressions are very positive cool unit
  15. I suspect I will be buying the new Diamond Compressor The BCP-1 is a superb pedal
  16. Today will be a lot of The Smiths Yesterday I listened to “Hey Jude” by Wilson Pickett. Jerry Jemmott really is a funky smooth player
  17. The pedal was similar to Boss OC-2. I really liked it however it was uncontrollable with how it picked up extraneous noise and was returned. The supplier refunded me as they said it was irreparable and their other ones did the same thing. A pity as when it worked it was cool. It was Close enough at medium to low settings to the onboard sub on the old Klystrom heads. Nice feature when used subtly on a fantastic amplifier
  18. The Dreadbox Kinematic is a cool pedal
  19. I would definitely like to try this pedal out.
  20. I had one for 15 or so years, sold it last month 22 fret scratch plate is different shape Alder body, heavy, but least neck dive of any Fender I’ve played Most gad the TBC circuit Fender have certainly made considerably worse instruments
  21. Got a Laney Comp on the way anyone here had a whirl?
  22. Sometimes a Diamond Compression Sometimes a Free The Tone Bass Blaster Overdrive
  23. A touch of compression with the Solidgoldfx Beta really works with the old Klystron
