2. SOLD One EBS OctaBass in EBS box...£40. I used this, as the pics show, for a few years so a few chips and scrapes included in the price! Put up for sale a few months ago at £60 but retracted for holidays and gigging away. Tested a few months ago and working. £5 posted. Pics show the OctaBass with a Multicomp...The MultiComp has been SOLD. Just to add.....this is not a 'price or trade value' of £100, it is £40 for the pedal. Please PM me if interested.
 3. this could be depending on the bass scale length as I see ACG make different scale lengths, a 32" scale length may be a bit sloppier than 34".
 4. Great dealing with 'G Major' who bought my MarkBass 4x10 today, both of us having a terrible drive but meeting up 130 miles from home to xchange.....nice one Alex, thanks.
 5.
Any help is greatly appreciated. Having previously owned at some stage (now sold), the Spector Euro 4lx and Warwick Streamer Stage 1 basses, I'm now looking to get another (Warwick or Spector). The only feature I wasn't keen on was they both had longer necks than I'm used to so wondered if they do shorter necks on both basses mentioned. Should I be looking at 34 scale? If I end up purchasing from another chatter chances are I won't be able to try before I buy so want to know exactly what I need to ask and not end up in the same situation I was in before. Cheers Freddie
Look at where the top 'horn' and strap button are situated ... On the Fender the top horn end sits around the twelfth fret and on many 'modern' style basses, such as Warwick, that top horn hovers above the 14th fret. Long Scale on both basses at 34" but the Warwick will feel a longer neck.
 6.
will be in evesham thurs evenig then friday until lunch time..... check your pm
will do...
 7. This Italian made cab has done about 15 gigs only, used for a tour with a 2x10 on top, huge sound, so the 4x10 wasn't even pushed hard. Since stored as I use a mix of smaller Markbass cabs. In very nice condition. MB site says......800watt / 8 ohm...22kg...59.3cm wide...59.3cm high...48.3 deep Rear ports I am based in NE Hants but could possibly bring the cab with me as I will be in the Evesham Vale area and Colne this week - August Bank holiday weekend.
 8.
I have one of these and it is fabulous in every respect. Have a [s]hump[/s] bump.
Thanks Gilly......certainly great cabs, wished I had more use of it.
 9.
Helo. shipping to Poland?
I'll look into prices today for both pedals for Europe.
 10.
Please would you provide weight/dimensions? Thanks
Churchie, here are dimensions taken off the Markbass.it website, hope it helps: Weight: 48.28 lbs / 21.9kg Width: 23.35in / 59.3cm Height: 23.54in / 59.8cm Depth: 19.02in / 48.3cm
 11.
I have two EBS pedals here at £60 each, both unused for a while having sat in a Boss pedalboard. A few marks and surface paint chip on the Multicomp. I've just tested them and controls working okay. Both have EBS boxes (though one is a chorus pedal box). There is one screw missing from each pedals' base plate. Can be posted unless collected or couriered at your choice. Postage included in price...forgot to add that!
Bump
 12.
This cabinet has been used on about a dozen gigs only from new and since stored in a case (not available) for the last few years. I'm using smaller cabs and this cab is not getting used. 800watt and 8 ohm, a few usual scuffs on the corners but all in all, it's 'as new' and I would say not played in as yet. Made in Italy. I'm willing to meet up on the A3 corridor if it helps anyone travelling a distance. Can't say much more about MarkBass cabs, never had one let me down over all the years and gear I've played through, I'm happy using my smaller MB cabs and amps. This cab wasn't used by itself, it had a 2x10 on top so wasn't really pushed in concert. Not looking at trades.
bump

 14.
Asking what I think is a decent £550 on Basschat for this lovely headless fretless I made a while back that is virtually unused except for two gigs. A mini 'hit' at a recent bass bash, it has a beautiful body made from very old mahogany for the back with black USA walnut top and a five piece maple/wenge neck with macassar ebony fingerboard. Pickups are Seymour Duncan humbuckers, passive controls. The tuning system cost a small fortune, even for a licensed system. It has a 'Warwick' soft case too. Made for myself, I found I was not a headless person though I sometimes lose my head when paying out for woods and hardware for new basses! The bass sound though is huge, from a great wood and pickup combination. It was a one off but I like the design with top contour off a P bass which does give it a 'full' bass feel. There are two large size end strap buttons that provide alternate playing strap options. It uses normal single ball end strings. Just to add that I have been making basses albeit as a part time builder for over 15 years, usually to order rather than a 'production line' merchant. My own use basses have seen thousands of gigs and using them myself on gigs is usually how orders have come in. Always set up and 'settled in' before going out on the road.
bump

 17. I have used these for years and years, still my favourite though the new ones are slightly thinner leather. Look up on Amazon for the GSL5 Jimmy Page strap, about 3.25" wide. Expensive now, maybe cheaper elsewhere. The belt webbing length adjusted by individual 'webs'.
 18. Maybe a heads up of your UK locality may help to sell it quicker?
 19. Another great transaction with Thunderbird, straightforward and easy, thanks chap, happy plunkin'.
 20. Terrific dealing with 'Thunderbird'...easy as..cheers
 21. All sold. Two sets left as of 16th June I have spare sets of D'Addario SHORT scale nickel strings. These are medium gauge........ 50. 70. 85. 105. Purchased by mistake a while back, the tapered end does not fit medium scale basses. One pack opened to check the number on D'Addario's website that they are indeed real D'Addario's Price includes UK postage per set......if anyone want all 4 sets it will work out cheaper postage.
 22.
I assume you've got the sound coming through a more decent source than the TV's built in speakers?
Always a problem with TV broadcast missing the bass guitarist out......I always listen to TV music through headphones and the little I heard of Duran and Jools show the bass was okay. If you listen on TV to drums you don't always hear the full kit and backing vocals are often way to low. Actually, a lot of large live indoor and outdoor music I've heard through big PA systems often misses decent bass sound, except the bass drum !
 23. Getting front ported speakers would help so you can 'temper' the bass end more, ( I have MarkBass 2x10 front ported) Rear ported speakers away from the wall/ corner of stage may help or maybe as far away from the wall as possible. (Like my MarkBass 2x10 Traveller but actually, that cabinet doesn't boom too much at all) You know what, I've never had band members say my rear ported cabs where affecting them, hope they aren't being picky with you! Maybe some deep foam plugs ( like some hi if speakers come supplied with) would help, your speaker cones would probably still want to move some air. (I am not so sure on cabinet designs but I think speakers used in ported to those used in non ported cabinets have different design specs as a speaker generally moves air to operate efficiently). Hopefully some very knowledgable Basschatter will carry on this topic for you!
 24. My double bass repairman used and advised to use (Yamaha) Bore Oil on my ebony fingerboard. It is usually used by woodwind players. Oil on a rag drawn through the instrument to keep the wood in good order considering all the 'moisture' that gets blown into it. As per usual, dab some on a piece of rag and apply, not onto the wood straight from the bottle. A 40ml bottle recently cost be around £7 online.
